Jennifer Lopez Shares First Photos from Alex Rodriguez's Romantic Oceanside Proposal

Jennifer Lopez shared behind-the-scenes photos of her romantic engagement to Alex Rodriguez revealing her pleasant shock as her future groom got down on one knee.

Fans were shocked (or possibly not) when Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement with a telling photo of their beautiful engagement ring. A few days later, more evidence of the proposal emerged after the soon-to-be-bride shared a series of photos from the romantic occasion set along the Bahamas shoreline.

In the “3.9.19”-captioned slide show, Jennifer revealed the series of events that led to the sealing of their engagement. It began with a photo of her standing in front of a kneeling Alex. They matched the hues of the ocean with their coordinated clothes. The actress was in a white dress while the former baseball player wore white pants and a light blue sweater.

Alex smiled up at a surprised Jennifer who looked down at a small black box her fiancé held. It was the casing of the magnificent emerald-cut ring featured in the first photo the couple shared following their engagement.

The following pic revealed Alex sliding the ring on Jennifer’s finger as the singer covered her mouth with one hand. No doubt she was suppressing her happy tears. The former athlete shared that same photo on his Instagram and wrote, “Locking it down” with the hashtag “#futuremrsrodriguez”.

Jennifer leans down to kiss her brand new fiancé in the next snap which was followed by a closer shot of the couple standing and entrapped in a passionate kiss. It was as dreamy as it could get against the sunset backdrop of Baker's Bay.

JLo and ARod have been dating since the start of 2017 and they’ve been a poster couple for blending their parental roles ever since. Alex has two daughters with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, while Jennifer is a mother to twins with her former husband, Marc Anthony.

On Saturday, the couple announced their engagement by sharing a photo featuring the giant ring Alex gave his future bride. In her version, the multi-talented star captioned the pic with a series of heart emojis allowing the photo to speak for itself. Meanwhile, Alex proudly wrote, “She said yes” in his.

Fans shouldn’t be surprised to learn that the pair finally decided to get married. It was only a matter of time before they did. They’ve both been very vocal about their compatibility and at one point said they were soulmates. Both are Leos from New York with Latin roots. Aside from that, they frequently bond over staying fit and being parents to their children.

The pair first met in 2005 at a baseball game while Jennifer was still married to Marc. However, it was only 12 years later when they bumped into each other at a restaurant and Jennifer felt the urge to tap Alex on his shoulder, a story she told Ellen De Generes (who recently offered to be her maid of honor) in 2017. Not long after, Alex invited her to dinner and before everyone knew it, they debuted their relationship at the Met Gala that May.

Alex, 43, will be Jennifer's 4th husband while the "World of Dance" star, 49, will be his second wife.
