Listen to Blake Shelton Singing a Touching Love Song in Karaoke
Blake Shelton’s “Friends and Heroes Tour” has come to an end, and he celebrated with karaoke night and a rendition of “For All the Wrong Reasons” with the Bellamy Brothers.
After their performance at the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Connecticut, Shelton and his team chose to unwind at a private karaoke lounge.
The chill evening inspired the singer to get up onstage with the Bellamy Brothers to sing their hit song “For All the Wrong Reasons”.
The Bellamy Brothers made up of siblings David and Howard, have been writing top-charting country music since the late ‘60s, and they have two hundred concert dates worldwide each year.
The close friendship of Shelton and the brothers was evident as they casually sang and joked with each other. Blake even said,
“Why are you reading this? You wrote it!”
He was referring to the fact that Howard Bellamy was reading the monitor lyrics to the song.
After Shelton promised and delivered “a celebration of country music” for the tour, which began with a sold-out show in his home state of Oklahoma, the intimate get-together with his entourage was just what he needed.
Shelton’s busy schedule has gotten even fuller with the addition of a new project with Hallmark. The country star and “The Voice” coach is collaborating with the network to make a Christmas movie which will include his songs.
The star has had previous work with Hallmark in the movie “Time For Me To Come Home For Christmas” which was inspired by Shelton’s own life along with the anecdote of how his mother, Dorothy Shackleford, helped her son finish a song he was stuck with. Shackleford shared,
“Blake was writing the song for his Christmas album and said he needed help with the second verse. So I came up with the second verse, and that’s how the song was born.”
