Idris Elba & Sabrina Dhowre Married in Morocco Wedding

Idris Elba has married his girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre in a lavish ceremony in Morocco. The actor cleaned up nicely in a bespoke suit while his bride wore two beautiful dresses by Vera Wang. See photos from the three-day affair.

Idris Elba is officially off the market. The 46-year-old actor married his girlfriend of two years, Sabrina Dhowre in a beautiful Moroccan wedding ceremony. Photos of what they wore were featured by the British Vogue and details of the occasion are now all over the news.

WHAT THEY WORE

Idris and Sabrina were engaged in February and tied the knot on April 26 at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel in Marrakesh. The actor wore a bespoke suit by Ozwald Boateng while his lovely bride paraded in two custom gowns by Vera Wang.

The first was a classic off-the-shoulder A-line creation she wore during the ceremony. It had an interesting ode to her groom embroidered in its hem. The words, “This train carries no wrong do-ers,” tattooed on Idris’ forearm was stitched on her dress.

After the wedding, the entrepreneur and model changed into an embroidered dress with a V-neck. Pearls and gemstones adorned its couture macramé lace.

A THREE-DAY EVENT

The couple’s black-tie wedding was a three-day affair. The night before they said their vows, guests were treated to a “colours of the souk” themed dinner at the Amanjena. An all-white party was also held at the Mandarin Oriental a day after the wedding.

Sabrina described their wedding day as "the best day of my life."

RELATIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

The nuptials was a culmination to the drumroll that began in February when Idris got down on one knee during a movie premiere and proposed to his new wife. They met while he was filming “The Mountain Between Us” in Canada and debuted their relationship in public at the red carpet of the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017.

Since their engagement, Idris and Sabrina have been celebrating their love on social media with photos and sweet pronouncements revealing how happy they are with each other. More recently, Sabrina described their wedding day as "the best day of my life."

Fans of 2018's Sexiest Man Alive may be weeping now that Idris is married but he’s certainly the happiest husband alive today.
