Meghan Markle Revealed Her Post-Baby Bump in a White Givenchy Wrap Dress at Archie's Introduction
On Wednesday, Duchess Meghan and her husband Prince Harry made their first public appearance with their newborn baby boy. The Duchess chose a dress that had people talking on social media.
The white dress she wore clearly showed off her post-pregnancy baby bump.
Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry finally debuted their newborn son by having a press conference at St. George in Windsor. For the occasion, the Duchess wore a Givenchy white sleeveless trench-style belted wrap dress by London-based menswear designer Grace Wales Bonner.
She completed her look by adding nude Manolo Blahnik pumps and accessorized with a turquoise necklace by Jennifer Meyer. Her dress clearly showed off her post-pregnancy baby bump.
The Royal couple was pictured with their baby named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. A Twitter user named Elizabeth Sile was one of the people who loved how the Duchess didn’t shy away from showing off her bump.
Sile wrote: "I know nothing about being pregnant but I enjoy the fact that Meghan Markle is showing off her post-baby bump so prominently with that belted dress.” She also added: “It feels like she’s sending a really nice body positive message to new moms everywhere with this choice and I’m here for it.”
However, another user named Samantha Maiden wasn’t too thrilled about the dress choice. She wrote: “If there is a safe place to discuss the fact that Meghan Markle is the most beautiful woman on earth and that sleeveless trench coat dress is one of the most dead set, unflattering outfits I have seen in a while please direct me to the correct area.”
Someone named Barry G responded to Maiden berating her by saying:
“I'm betting she is still very tied, [sic] and probably really doesn't care what anyone thinks. Her dress was the last thing I was even looking at, just happy that everyone is doing fine and they're both over the moon.”
Meghan’s visible post-baby bump had a number of people scratching their heads. However, it is common for a woman who has just given birth to still sport the bump.
According to women in the know, the inflated uterus is just a normal aftermath of giving birth.
