Alfonso Ribeiro & Wife Welcome a Baby Girl & Reveal Her Name (Photo)

Congratulations are in order for Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife, Angela, who are now the proud parents of a baby girl. The “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum revealed their daughter’s name while recounting her dramatic entrance into the world.

Alfonso took to Instagram on Tuesday with an adorable photo of the sleeping newborn clad in a white blanket and knitted hat. He also shared her lovely name in the caption: Ava Sue.

The actor further revealed that his writer wife went into labor and had to go into the hospital on Mother’s Day, before Ava made her appearance in the early hours of Monday, May 13.

“Ava Sue Ribeiro finally decided to send @mrsangelaribeiro1 to the hospital on Mother’s Day and came into our world early yesterday morning. Both Ava and Mommy are doing great. Thank you, Dr. Jason Rothbart, for an amazing job.”

KIND WORDS FOR THE NEWBORN

Alfonso’s announcement has since gathered thousands of likes and comments from well-wishers congratulating the couple on their new arrival.

“What a beauty!!!” Justin Timberlake wrote. “Congrats, brother!!”

“Very beautiful baby. Congratulations on your little angel” echoed another Instagram user.

BABY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Ribeiros first announced that they were expecting their third child last November with some help from the boys, five-year-old Alfonso "AJ" Lincoln, and four-year-old Anders Reyn.

In a picture shared to Angela’s Instagram page, the boys wore faux bumps while their mom cradled hers in matching white shirts. “Guess which bump is already kicking?? Baby Ribeiro due Spring 2019,” the expectant mom announced at the time.

FAIR WARNING

This will be the third child for Alfonso, 47, and Angela who tied the knot in 2012. The actor also has a 16-year-old daughter from his previous marriage to Robin Stapler.

During a recent appearance on “Steve” TV show, Alfonso warned the show host Steve Harvey that he could leave anytime in the middle of the interview because his fourth child was on the way.

FATHERHOOD REGRETS

The “Dancing With The Stars” alum also opened up about one of his parenting regrets.

“We all get so focused in our lives trying to achieve everything that we want to achieve in the world that we forget why,” he said, adding:

“It’s to enjoy the time with your family and the things that you want to do. So I would put more emphasis on being there just even more.”

Now that Ava Sue is here, Alfonso will most likely be making good on his word and spending a lot of time with the little one and the entire family.
