'L&HH' Star Rah Ali Goes into Premature Labor but Loses the Baby

“Love & Hip Hop: New York” star Rah Ali, a close friend of rapper Nicki Minaj, is presently grieving after going into labor prematurely and losing her baby.

According to TMZ, the reality star was only five months along in the pregnancy when her water broke suddenly on Sunday.

Rah started having contractions and was rushed to the hospital where she delivered her daughter prematurely. Sadly, the baby girl only lived for a few minutes as doctors were unable to save her.

Rah is also said to have cut off ties with Remy Ma after the rapper started feuding with Nicki

Sources close to the celebrity news site revealed that the premature birth came as a shock since there had been no indication of trouble or complications with Rah’s pregnancy all along.

The shoe entrepreneur had also reportedly snapped pregnancy reveal photos earlier this month, planning to announce her good news next month.

Rah’s child was not due until mid-October, but the reality star is now mourning a painful loss.

Her close friend, rapper Nicki Minaj, has reportedly been standing by Rah’s side as she grieves, checking on her and trying as much as possible to lift her spirits.

Rah, 35, and Nicki, 36, have come a long way with their friendship. The “L&HH” star famously came to Nicki’s defense last year during the latter’s altercation with fellow rapper, Cardi B.

Cardi came off that incident with a knot on the forehead, and Rah allegedly had something to do with it. Rah is also said to have cut off ties with Remy Ma after the rapper started feuding with Nicki.

According to MadameNoire, the reality star tied the knot with an anonymous member of Nicki’s security team in August 2017, walking down the aisle to her friend’s hit, “Moment For Life.”

This would have been the first child for Rah and her husband. Our condolences go out to the couple during this difficult time.

Last year, it was Rah’s “L&HH” co-star, Lil Mo, who suffered a miscarriage with what would have been her sixth child.

“All is well,” Mo wrote alongside the sad announcement. “God has bigger plans, and I know when the time is right, there will be another one!!”

Another former “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star Brandi Boyd, suffered a miscarriage in May of 2018, breaking the sad news with a tear-jerking Instagram video.
