Nevada Mom Gives Birth en Route to Hospital with 3 Kids in Back Seat

A woman on her way to a hospital for a prenatal checkup unexpectedly went into labor and delivered her baby in the car.

Rudia Napier was pregnant with her fourth baby and near her due date, but she never expected to give birth in her car.

While Rudia was in labor, her 10-year-old son Jayden filmed the dramatic moment and the video has been shared over 140,000 times on Facebook.

“We were making a pre-baby delivery video to get ready to welcome our baby into the world, for the future. We didn’t expect in to happen within the next four minutes.” Michael Addison

AN UNEXPECTED ARRIVAL

Rudia and husband Michael Addison were on the way to Henderson Hospital, just 10 minutes drive from their home when the baby made its unexpected arrival.

The anxious dad kept driving and encouraging his wife, who cried:

" My baby’s coming out. Oh, Mike, the baby’s coming out!”

Michael decided to share the video of their incredible experience on Facebook, where it quickly went viral.

MULTITASKING WITH A VENGENCE

Michael would later describe the situation as the most intense in his life. The harried dad was helping his wife deliver her baby while driving as fast as possible to the hospital, with 3 children in the back seat.

Rudia delivered their fourth child, a healthy baby girl, whom they named Jolee Lavergne Addison before they reached the hospital. It was only later that Michael realized that Jayden had filmed the whole delivery.

Michael decided to share the video of their incredible experience on Facebook, where it quickly went viral.

“Six hours later, I watched the video. Oh wow! He recorded the whole thing and it was the perfect PG-13 angle,” he said.

Rudia and Joleen came through their ordeal in perfect health, and the Addison family is safely home with their new baby.

WOMAN GIVES BIRTH IN SUPERMARKET

Rudia Napier can count herself lucky that she gave birth in the relative comfort and privacy of her car. Another expectant mom wasn't as fortunate and delivered her child in the middle of a supermarket aisle.

A 28-year-old Russian went into labor while shopping for groceries. and her fellow shoppers carried on queuing up for the till unperturbed.

Fortunately for the laboring mom, the supermarket cashier, 35-year-old Elena Barsukova, assisted her, and 11 minutes later the baby arrived.
