In a clip from the outing, Kanye gives the legendary host a makeover courtesy of his clothing line. He jokes, “It’s like when I used to work at the Gap, bro.”

David cleaned up nicely donning Yeezy’s oversized brown jacket, a blue sweatshirt, khaki pants, and boots. "You look like an artist," the rapper says to which David replies, “I feel really good." He adds, “And even if I was not doing this [show] and if somebody could drive me to the mall, I’d buy this.”

The host who now sports a grey beard also expressed his preference for the colors and the fit of his clothes as well as the shoes.

Looking over were Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner who both agree David “looks really good.” Kim asked her husband if he was paying for David’s clothes, but the 72-year-old insisted, “No, we’re paying for it. We’re not just here so I can get an outfit.”

ON HAVING A "SPRAINED BRAIN"

Kanye’s appearance on the show highlighted several episodes in his life which he generously spoke of. One of these was his famous mental breakdown which he attributes to his bipolar diagnosis. He describes the episode to David as "a heightened connection with the universe." He explains,

"It is a health issue. This is like a sprained brain like having a sprained ankle. And if someone has a sprained ankle you're not gonna push on him more. With us, once our brain is spraining, people do everything to make it worse."

Kanye finds comfort in knowing his mother is still around. “She’s guiding us,” he tells David.

In 2016, Kanye had a mental breakdown and was forced to check into an institution for treatment. During his sit-down with David, he recalled his experience being handcuffed and separated from his family. He described it as an eye-opener that urged him to change.

ON HIS LATE MOTHER

Kanye also spoke of his late mother, Donda, whose death had a great impact on him. He told a touching story of a teddy bear she gave him and regretted that his mother isn't around anymore to spoil his children.

Donda’s death in 2007 was reportedly one of the major factors that triggered Kanye’s breakdown. He reportedly had it around the time of her death anniversary.
