A FAMILY AFFAIR

Seen at Sidwell’s ceremony were Sasha’s parents, Barack and Michelle Obama as well as her older sister, Malia Obama who also graduated from the elite private high school in 2016.

Sasha wore white for the occasion and joined the rest of her batch for a Class of ’19 photo shared by the school on its Facebook page.

THE CONTROVERSIAL RACE FOR SIDWELL SLOTS

That being said, Sidwell is much sought after by parents who want to get their children into Ivy League schools. The race for slots to get into the institution has reportedly become so competitive that parents would resort to spreading negative rumors about other kids in order to free up slots for their own children. There were also two to three counselors who quit due to parents’ harassment and disrespect in an attempt to get their children to enroll in the school.

MICHIGAN-BOUND

Meanwhile, Sasha is setting her sights on the University of Michigan for college. She suggested this when she posted a photo with her friends taken at the campus’ football stadium. It’s unclear if the youngest Obama will be taking a gap year before heading to college as her older sister did. An announcement has yet to be made regarding her future plans after high school.
