Nick Young & Keonna Green Expecting 3rd Child, Plan to Name Baby after Tupac

Former “Basketball Wives” star Keonna Green and her on-again/off-again boyfriend, Nick Young, are getting closer to welcoming their third child and the NBA star already plans to name him after a rap legend.

Despite their tumultuous past, it appears Young, 34, and his high school sweetheart, are committed to enlarging their family.

Green took to Instagram on Monday to share photos from what looked like her baby shower. The LA-based salon owner looked adorable as she hugged her bump in an all-white ensemble. In another photo, she posed with Young behind gold balloons that said: “CONGRATS.”

“Yesterday,” Green wrote, adding a blue emoji. “Thank you to everyone who came out.”

The former “Denver Nugget” shooting guard shared similar images on his Instagram page, including one of the couple with their kids, six-year-old son Nick Jr, and two-year-old daughter Navi.

In his caption, Young revealed that their son is due on June 16 which is coincidentally the birthday of the slain rapper and activist, Tupac Amaru Shakur.

Their relationship might be one of the most confusing; so confusing that even Green once confessed to not understanding their chemistry.

“I’m naming him Nyce Amaru Young or Nyce Shakur,” Young revealed of his plans to name the unborn son.

The former Lakers player, nicknamed Swaggy P, first announced in March that he and Green were expecting a third child. At the time, Young credited the pregnancy to the fact that he had a lot of time to spend at home after the Denver Nuggets waived him last December.

Green and Young have been together since high school when he played basketball, and she was a cheerleader, but their relationship might be one of the most confusing; so confusing that even Green once confessed to not understanding their chemistry.

We’ve dated other people, we have still always managed to keep in touch.

Besides several run-ins with the law on allegations of violence, Young made headlines in June of 2016 after his then-fiancée, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, broke up with him over cheating allegations.

Things got even messier when Green confirmed around the same time that she was 22-weeks pregnant with her and Young's second child. The NBA player proposed to Azalea in June of 2015, meaning that he was cheating on her with Green all the while.

"I'm not the reason they separated," Green said shortly after the rapper and Young parted ways. "I didn't feel guilty because I was in love with a man."

In a 2017 interview with ESSENCE, she added:

“We’ve been in and out of each other’s lives and we’ve dated other people, we have still always managed to keep in touch. It’s something that no one will be able to understand. We don’t even really understand.”

Whatever the case, it looks like Green and Young are happily building a family together. Congratulations to the couple!
