Fantasia Barrino Gets Fans Excited after Hinting about Music Collaboration Ft Brandy & Jazmine Sullivan
Fantasia Barrino's fans went wild after the singer announced that she is set to release a joint album with Brandy and Jazmine Sullivan. Her excited fans took to Instagram to express their excitement over the new venture, which will definitely be one for the books.
Fantasia is ready to release some new tracks, and she's made sure to step it up a notch by joining forces with Jazmine Sullivan and Brandy. In a recent Instagram post that has since then gone viral, the "American Idol" winner announced that her 7th album "Sketchbook" is one she collaborated on with the two women.
On top of being a powerhouse album for the new trio, Barrino also announced that what they made was an independent album, which makes it all the more epic.
“So Thankful for you @jsullivanmusic & @4everbrandy. This is an independent Album and we DID IT!!!”
A new girl group?
Back in April, Fantasia spoke about the collaboration during an Instagram Live session, where she said that she just HAD to collaborate with the two women, especially now that she's not held back by a label.
“They are both my favorites. I turn into a little groupie when I see Jazmine. I love her, and I love Bran. I wanted to kind of reach back and touch some different eras when it came to that girl group,” she said during the interview. “I was like, ‘Wouldn’t it be dope if we had a girl group where it was Jazmine, Fantasia, and Brandy?’ Let’s just put it on an album.”
Alas, "Sketchbook" has come to life after expressing her eagerness to work with both Jazmine and Brandy.
Barrino's Star Power
Fantasia has been making waves recently, doing one power move after the other. Late last year, she moved people to tears when she delivered such a strong and emotional performance during Aretha Franklin's funeral. She sang a song popularized by Aretha, performing it with so much soul especially since Franklin has been an inspiration of hers since she was young.
“This woman played a BIG part in my life. She played a genuine role in my life similar to how my Grandmother was very dear to me. I’ll never forget the talks we shared together. Auntie, kill the choir up there in Heaven & know that your Music will last forever,”
Singing "Precious Lord, Take My Hand/You've Got A Friend," Barrino took off her shoes and sang her heart out. People were in awe with the performance, that those in the memorial just had to stand up. Likewise, fans who were watching the live preview of the funeral were also moved by her performance.
Now that she's set to release another album, we just can't wait to see how she'll impact her fans this time.
