Wendy Williams Is Getting Her Own Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Wendy Williams will be one of 35 celebrities who'll be receiving a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. This is a positive turn for the star who recently cut ties from her husband and manager, Kevin Hunter.
It appears Wendy Williams has a future set in stone with her inclusion in the list of celebrities who’ll be receiving their star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
WILLIAMS' STAR SHINES BRIGHTER
According to E! News, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Selection Committee has released the names of 35 "unique" personalities who’ll be honored in 2020 with the commemorative star. Williams will be joined by Kathie Lee Gifford and Dr. Phil McGraw under the television category. Other celebrities who are reportedly on the list include Julia Roberts, Chris Hemsworth, Mahershala Ali, and Octavia Spencer.
A POSITIVE TURN TO A TUMULTUOUS START OF THE YEAR
Williams’ induction marks a positive turn in her life considering her tumultuous first half of the year. She recently filed for divorce from her husband of 22 years, Kevin Hunter after discovering he had a child with his rumored mistress of 10 years.
The divorce filing also led to the dissolution of her professional relationship with Hunter who was her manager. This turned out to be a good thing for the talk show host who realized she was better off being in charge of her own career.
“You’ve gotta be at the ground floor of your operation,” she said in a video released by The Blast. “I don’t care how big you get.”
TAKING CHARGE
Speaking at a conference last week, the 54-year-old revealed Hunter would keep her in the dark during negotiations and would only have her meet the people involved when deals have been closed. She plans to change that now that she’s in control.
“You’ve gotta be at the ground floor of your operation,” she said in a video released by The Blast. “I don’t care how big you get.”
Williams has been spotted out on dates and was recently linked to designer Marc Tomblin. Headlines weren’t too kind to the 27-year-old who was accused of using the host for financial gain.
LIVING THE SINGLE LIFE
It may take a while for Williams to receive her star in Hollywood Boulevard. According to reports, none of the celebrities included in the list have scheduled their ceremonies. However, we’re quite certain she’ll be on top of this as well as the life she’s enjoying as a single woman.
Williams has been spotted out on dates and was recently linked to designer Marc Tomblin. Headlines weren’t too kind to the 27-year-old who was accused of using the host for financial gain. But he insisted their fondness for each other is genuine and that he's not a gold digger.
Williams has not admitted to being in a committed relationship with Tomblin. She would often say she’s just having fun and knows what she’s doing when asked about her romantic life.
