Here's a Peek at Shaunie O'Neal's Love Event for Son Shareef after Heart Surgery

Shaunie O'Neal was full of love during an event she hosted to celebrate her son, Shareef O'Neal's health. The 19-year-old had a successful heart operation that saved him from a life-threatening cardiac condition.

Shaunie O’Neal is grateful and she showed this in a big and lovely way. The former wife of Shaquille O’Neal threw a lavish party to express her love for her friends and family who showered her family with theirs during her son, Shareef O’Neal’s heart ordeal.

SHAREEF'S FIGHTS FOR HIS HEART

Back in September, we learned of Shareef’s life-threatening heart condition. He discovered this after experiencing a strange feeling during summer practices with his school basketball team. The heart ailment required immediate surgery or would prove fatal. Shareef was forced to sit out his freshmen year playing basketball for UCLA to attend to his condition. By December, he was wheeled into the operating room.

SHAUNIE CELEBRATES SHAREEF'S RECOVERY

Last March, in a health update, Shaunie revealed Shareef was “cleared with no limitations” by doctors. “There has been a tremendous weight lifted off of me today, and I can’t stop Thanking God!" the relieved mother wrote to caption a clip of her son undergoing medical tests.

The “Basketball Wives” star further announced that Shareef was cleared to play basketball again, news that her son would definitely appreciate. He’s been excited to return to the hardcourt since recovering from his surgery.

THE HAPPY MOM HOSTS A "LOVE EVENT"

Today, Shaunie is full of love for the people who offered their prayers and support for Shareef’s health. To celebrate her son, she hosted The Love Event, a party to give thanks to those who stood by her family during Shareef’s heart ordeal.

“I threw The Love Event to love on all of our family and friends who cared for and showered our family during @shareefoneal surgery,”

Proof of this was in photos shared by Shaunie revealing her healthy son along with pictures of the heart-shaped pizza she served, the DJ’s booth and the event’s decorations that spoke of love.

SHAUNIE DAZZLES IN RED

In a separate post, Shaunie posed in a photo booth with her son, proving how happy they both were.

“If anyone knows me, you know I love a party with a photo booth!!! I also LOVE MY FAMILY & FRIENDS!!!!” she said.

Because she was celebrating love, Shaunie dazzled in red. She wore a tight-fitting dress with bare shoulders and we can understand why her ex, Shaquille attempted to kiss her recently.

Shaunie and the former NBA star share four children together and were married for seven years on and off. Shaquille first filed for divorce in 2007 but withdrew it shortly after. In 2009, Shaunie filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. They’ve remained friends since then.
