Snoop Dogg's Wife and Daughter 'Look the Same Age' in Stunning Photo
Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus, and their youngest daughter Cori look like siblings in a new picture shared by the rapper on Instagram and fans can’t stop gushing about them.
Snoop Dogg is a proud husband and father, and as proof of that, he recently shared a photo of his beautiful wife Shante and their 19-year-old daughter Cori, also known as “Choc.”
In the photo, the mother-daughter duo looks stunning and could easily pass as siblings, which is a statement to how young Shante looks at 47-years-old.
The mother of three looks business-ready wearing a white button-up with printed stars, black blazer, black pants with white stripes and a matching clutch. Cori, on the other hand, donned a long-sleeved white button-up, ripped jeans and platform sandals. She also rocked waist-long braids and silver hoop earrings to accessorize.
“My girls. @bosslady_ent @princessbroadus. Twins,” Snoop captioned the photo.
FANS’ REACTIONS
Fans of the “Gin and Juice” star took over the comment section to gush about Shante and Cori, and most agreed with the rapper saying they look like twins.
“Beautiful ladies, the Queen with her princess,” wrote one user.
Another added, “Both Beautiful, they look like sisters. May God continue to bless you always.”
And a third one asked,
“Real talk, how many times are these two mistaken for sisters? Black don’t crack.”
CORI’S LUPUS DIAGNOSE
Although Cori is now a high school graduate working toward her dream of becoming a famous singer, she was diagnosed with lupus at age 6, and ironically, it was her illness what brought her parents back together.
In 2004, Snoop Dogg filed for divorce from Shante after seven years of marriage and three kids. The rapper admitted that at the time, he was too caught up on the whirlwind of fame and money and didn’t realize that his wife and kids were a priority.
Then in 2005, Cori started to lose drastic amounts of weight and hair, and despite many visits to the doctor, no one could figure out what was wrong with the then 6-year-old.
“No one could tell me what was wrong,” Shante told PEOPLE. “They drew tons of blood and said she has old-person cells. They gave her all kinds of [medication]. But she went downhill.”
Months later, Cori was diagnosed with lupus, which brought back the family together. Snoop and Shante had to join forces to start learning about the disease, and he eventually withdrew the divorce papers.
“She’s the toughest little thing I’ve ever met,” the rapper said of Cori at the time. “She’s on the honor roll, playing volleyball and softball, living life. She has all this joy. In the beginning, lupus was winning. But now Cori is.”
CORI KEEPS WINNING
Now, at 19, Cori is leading a healthy life and is still winning her battle against lupus.
She recently released a music video for her single “Love Me For Me,” and is working on more music at the moment.
“I am finally making music that means something to me,” Cori said. “I am able to write about my experiences and the things I go through daily, which is such an amazing feeling. I am excited for the world to finally learn who the real CHOC is.”
Cori has all the support from her father, who brought her along to an interview at Beats 1 Official last August where she was able to talk about her music and her hopes for the future of her music career.
Snoop and Shante also share sons Cordé and Cordell.
