Unlike her sister, Bridget is a super private person.

However, she surprised the Twitterverse when she decided to speak out against President Donald Trump when he attacked her late father, Senator John McCain on social media.

PRESIDENT TRUMP TROLLED LATE SEN. JOHN MCCAIN

This #MemorialDay I'm remembering Army Cpl Matthew Stanley from Wolfeboro NH - KIA #Iraq on December 16, 2006 when his Humvee struck an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Taji, Iraq. My father wore his bracelet every day of his life since he met Matthew’s parents at a townhall in New Hampshire and they gave him that bracelet to honor and remember the bravery and sacrifice of their son. My father gave me Matthew’s bracelet right before he died. It is my most prized possession. I wore it when I gave my dad’s eulogy. It serves as a reminder of the grave sacrifices our men and women of the military give and their families. I think of Matthew Stanley and his family often. Freedom doesn’t come free. It is our duty as Americans to never forget and honor the fallen today and all days. We will never, ever forget. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

In an interview, the President said that John McCain’s bestselling book, "The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and Other Appreciations," had “bombed.”

“By the way. He wrote a book and the book bombed.”

For some reason I cried yesterday at the realization that I’m never going to see you rush downstairs again like you always used to do in the capitol. It’s a strange thing to get upset over. You were always in a hurry and would walk down with this almost canter/hop because of your inability to bend your knee. It was always entertaining to watch and it occurred to me that you might be the only person in the world that moved down a staircase like that. I’m still waiting for you to call me on my phone, I’m still waiting to get on a flight to meet you for Christmas, I’m still waiting to be woken up from this bizarre nightmare/coma that was the last year watching what happens to a person who fights glioblastoma. I’m still waiting for a lot of things and guess I probably will be for the rest of my life... 113 days. You’re omnipresent in my life, heart and mind Dad and it still doesn’t feel real you aren’t here. I try and remind myself that the intensity of the pain of missing you is important because it is a reminder of how my love for you was so incredibly strong. That the pain I carry is the trade off I made for loving someone so purely and I wouldn’t change a thing about it, even now. I love you forever. Stay with me.

The McCain sisters wouldn’t have it and decided to speak up against Trump for his disrespectful remarks towards their father, who passed away due to cancer last year. He was 81.

MCCAIN SISTER’S RESPOND TO TRUMP’S CRUDE REMARKS

Firing back to the crude remarks, Meghan tweeted:

"The president’s obsession with my father 6 months after his death is pathetic and telling - even at a time when he should be focusing on his message to the American public and the state of our union - the greatness of my father’s life and legacy haunts you."

Even Bridget couldn’t hold back from speaking up against Trump after the insult and decided to speak out against him for the first time.

She tweeted:

“@realDonaldTrump Everyone doesn’t have to agree with my dad or like him, but I do ask you to be decent and respectful. If you can’t do those two things, be mindful. We only said goodbye to him almost 7 months ago. (1/2).”

MCCAIN “PROUD” OF HER SISTER FOR SPEAKING UP

Bridget was truly brave for speaking up against President Trump when it came to her beloved father, and her sister couldn’t be more proud.

Praising Bridget for her courage, Meghan wrote:

“Incredibly proud of my brave sister Bridget @bridgyyyyboofor speaking out against President Trump. I love you more than I could ever possibly say. Your strength and grace continues to help carry us all through our grief.”

HOW BRIDGET WAS ADOPTED BY THE MCCAIN FAMILY

Bridget was adopted from a Bangladeshi orphanage run by Mother Teresa by Cindy McCain, the wife of John McCain.

Speaking to New Yorker about how she couldn’t help but adopt the adorable little girl who was sick at the time she met her, Cindy said:

“She was sick and tiny, and she was only ten weeks old. And I got to know her a little bit, and I was with her for quite a while.”

Initially, Cindy only brought Bridget and another sick girl from the orphanage to the US for medical treatment.

Later, she and John decided to adopt her and the other girl was adopted by their close friends.
