Unlike her sister, Bridget is a super private person.

However, she surprised the Twitterverse when she decided to speak out against President Donald Trump when he attacked her late father, Senator John McCain on social media.

PRESIDENT TRUMP TROLLED LATE SEN. JOHN MCCAIN

In an interview, the President said that John McCain’s bestselling book, "The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and Other Appreciations," had “bombed.”

“By the way. He wrote a book and the book bombed.”

The McCain sisters wouldn’t have it and decided to speak up against Trump for his disrespectful remarks towards their father, who passed away due to cancer last year. He was 81.

MCCAIN SISTER’S RESPOND TO TRUMP’S CRUDE REMARKS

Firing back to the crude remarks, Meghan tweeted:

"The president’s obsession with my father 6 months after his death is pathetic and telling - even at a time when he should be focusing on his message to the American public and the state of our union - the greatness of my father’s life and legacy haunts you."

Even Bridget couldn’t hold back from speaking up against Trump after the insult and decided to speak out against him for the first time.

She tweeted:

“@realDonaldTrump Everyone doesn’t have to agree with my dad or like him, but I do ask you to be decent and respectful. If you can’t do those two things, be mindful. We only said goodbye to him almost 7 months ago. (1/2).”

MCCAIN “PROUD” OF HER SISTER FOR SPEAKING UP

Bridget was truly brave for speaking up against President Trump when it came to her beloved father, and her sister couldn’t be more proud.

Praising Bridget for her courage, Meghan wrote:

“Incredibly proud of my brave sister Bridget @bridgyyyyboofor speaking out against President Trump. I love you more than I could ever possibly say. Your strength and grace continues to help carry us all through our grief.”

HOW BRIDGET WAS ADOPTED BY THE MCCAIN FAMILY

Bridget was adopted from a Bangladeshi orphanage run by Mother Teresa by Cindy McCain, the wife of John McCain.

Speaking to New Yorker about how she couldn’t help but adopt the adorable little girl who was sick at the time she met her, Cindy said:

“She was sick and tiny, and she was only ten weeks old. And I got to know her a little bit, and I was with her for quite a while.”

Initially, Cindy only brought Bridget and another sick girl from the orphanage to the US for medical treatment.

Later, she and John decided to adopt her and the other girl was adopted by their close friends.
