Catherine Zeta-Jones Posts Interview of Husband Michael Douglas Revealing How He Got Her

Over the moon, Catherine Zeta-Jones shared an interview of her husband and fellow actor, Michael Douglas where he fondly recalled their first encounter.

Catherine and Michael have been married for nearly two decades and are one of the most notable celebrity love pairings known.

Via Instagram, the “Ocean’s Twelve” actress posted a video of Michael relating his first encounter with her. She wrote, alongside a laughing emoticon, to caption the clip:

“The true story of how my love @michaelkirkdouglas got me.”

Michael started by noting that he feels fortunate having Catherine as his lover. He also humorously pointed out the nearly unbelievable fact that they share the same birthday and that she loves him even though they have a huge age gap of about 25 years between them.

His story panned out to him, describing the first time they met – sometime in 1998. The “Basic Instinct” actor noted that the very first time he met Catherine, he boldly declared that he “will” be the father of her children and that the svelte beauty had retorted that she had “heard a lot about him” before walking off.

That interviewer astonished by his revelation, loudly wondered how he could have been so blunt and direct about his motives. A smiling Michael responded that the highs of just finishing a promotional tour fuelled his actions.

Michael further disclosed that afterwards, their relationship was a long-distance one because of their respective careers. On a sweet note, however, he declared that the turning point in their relationship came after he invited her to Spain and she agreed.

Michael disclosed that, from then on, the relationship blossomed and that he popped the question on new year's eve, a day he strategically chose so he “would never forget!”

The video has become very popular on the internet having amassed over 450,000 views and nearly a thousand comments thanks to the actor's humorous storytelling as well as Catherine's prideful decision to share it with her fans.
