Terry Crews and Wife Rebecca King Celebrate Their 30th Wedding Anniversary
Terry Crews and his wife Rebecca recently celebrated 30 years of marriage, becoming one of the long-lasting couples in the entertainment industry.
The pair celebrated the milestone with a lavish party that counted with a surprise performance of a music icon. Terry Crews and Rebecca King have faced some tough challenges in their marriage.
Despite the odds, they managed to overcome every curveball life threw at them, and now they’re celebrating 30 years of marital bliss.
A LAVISH CELEBRATION
The couple marked the occasion by hosting a lavish all-white-themed anniversary party at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills over the weekend, where they got to sing, dance and even shed some tears in the company of family and friends.
At the party, King took the chance to debut the music video for her new single “Reachin’ for the Top,” and also sang Happy birthday to her husband, who turned 51 on July 30.
They also had a replica of their wedding cake, and one of Rebecca’s bridal bouquet made for the occasion, as People reported.
AN ICONIC SURPRISE
Stevie Wonder was the surprise of the night. Although he was a guest at the party, he left everyone in the room shedding tears when he took the mic to serenade Terry and Rebecca with a performance of “Ribbon in the Sky.”
A tearful Terry took the mic from Stevie after the performance to thank him for the surprise, as he tried to explain how special the song was for him before getting choked up with emotion.
Terry and Rebecca’s five children – Azriel, Isaiah, Naomi, Tera, and Wynfrey – were also part of the celebration.
A LOOK INTO THEIR MARRIAGE
The couple reflected on their three decades of marriage in a joint statement posted by Terry on Instagram, where they explained that through all of their years together, it seemed like time “shifted into hyper speed” and moments that they remember like it was yesterday took place 20 years ago.
“But there were other instances time ground to a halt— moving to LA and sweeping floors to start over, battles with addiction and depression, losing our home, and actually breaking up for a time,” they continued.
And added:
“Through all of this, these obstacles have actually made us stronger ....owning the realization that our feelings followed our decisions and not the other way around. Choosing to love each other year after year has proven to be the best decision we’ve ever made, and time has always had a wonderful way of showing us what truly matters.”
OVERCOMING ADDICTION
In 2014, Crews confessed on his book “Manhood: How to Be a Better Man — Or Just Live With One,” that his addiction to adult content films caused a strain on his marriage.
“My wife was literally like, ‘I don’t know you anymore, I’m out of here,’” he recalled in a Facebook video two years later. “That changed me. I had to change because I realized this thing is a major, major problem."

Crews eventually went into rehab, although he didn’t do it to gain his wife back, he did it for himself.
Rebecca said in a visit they made to Dr. Phil that it took her almost three years to trust Terry once again. And still, she admitted to having some PSTD episodes from time to time.
“When someone knows you from good all the way to the rottenest, dirtiest part of you, and loves you anyway, that's the rarity, that's where you want to be," Terry said on the show.
These days, Terry and Rebecca look happier than ever, and it seems like they have put all of their struggles in the past.
Congratulations on their 30th anniversary!
