THE LAST FATHER-DAUGHTER PHOTO

The last and the most moving photo that Tracy shared was of herself and her father in 1884, a year before the fatal plane crash that claimed his life, taken for Interview Magazine.

In the photo, Nelson and the 21-year-old Tracy gaze at the camera with confident smiles, sure that this was just one more photo, and there would be many more to celebrate their unique bond.

Sadly, Nelson was to die on December 31, 1985, when the plane he was traveling in with his band crash-landed in De Kalb Texas. He was only 45-years-old.

Nelson had 4 children with ex-wife Kristin Nelson, twins Gunnar and Mathew, Sam and Tracy - his oldest child and only girl.
