Ricky Nelson's Daughter Tracy Shares Precious Moments with Her Late Father in Rare Photos

Tracy Nelson remembers her teen-idol dad with touching throwback photos.

Actress Tracy Nelson shared touching throwback photos of her father, Ricky Nelson, who first rose to fame as a child in his parent's sitcom "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet."

But the photos she shares are very different from the usual "teen idol" publicity photos fans have gotten used to seeing of the sadly deceased singer.

Even today, Ricky Nelson's name resonates. The singer, songwriter, and actor left a vast legacy through his art, and through his children.

It is the facet of Nelson as a loving father that Tracy now reveals to his fans, with a series of black-and-white family photos posted on Facebook.

To this day, Nelson is the only artist to have had a No. 1 song, No. 1 movie and No. 1 TV show in the same week.

Tracy has shared a series of photos that illustrate her relationship with her father over the years, from her days as a toddler, to later years, when she was a grown woman, taken just a year before his untimely death.

The sweetest of the snaps is dated by Tracy as being from 1967 when she would have been only 4 years old and shows Nelson with his arm around his blond-haired angel, as they gaze adoringly into each other's eyes.

The last and the most moving photo that Tracy shared was of herself and her father in 1884, a year before the fatal plane crash that claimed his life, taken for Interview Magazine.

In the photo, Nelson and the 21-year-old Tracy gaze at the camera with confident smiles, sure that this was just one more photo, and there would be many more to celebrate their unique bond.

Sadly, Nelson was to die on December 31, 1985, when the plane he was traveling in with his band crash-landed in De Kalb Texas. He was only 45-years-old.

Nelson had 4 children with ex-wife Kristin Nelson, twins Gunnar and Mathew, Sam and Tracy - his oldest child and only girl.
