A few weeks after Mike Hill proposed to her, Cynthia Bailey dialed back to the day they first met.

THEIR FIRST MEETING

“You never know where God is going to show up!” Cynthia began in an Instagram entry where she reposts an image shared by her fiancé from the day they first locked eyes on each other.

They were on Steve Harvey’s former show in April last year. The comedian was trying to find a perfect match for her among three bachelors. Though Mike wasn’t her first choice, upon Steve’s urging, she picked him eventually.

Cynthia admitted in her recent post, “In my heart I knew” that Mike was “the ONE.”

Recalling how afraid she was to let go at the time and to love and be disappointed again after an unsuccessful marriage with Peter Thomas, she eventually decided to “let go & let God.”

“We did have to work this thing out. But he was very consistent. He was very consistent throughout the whole time.”

“Now here we are,” she said. “Thank you all for rooting for us & all your well wishes.” She also gave a grateful shout out to Steve. ”We cannot thank you enough,” she wrote.

In his previous post, Mike was so certain Cynthia knew too. “She knew then, I’m sure!” he wrote along with two laughing emojis and the hashtag #IGotMyPrize.

Mike surprised Cynthia with a romantic proposal during the opening of her wine cellar in Atlanta last month.

RETURNING TO THE SHOW WHERE THEY MET

In November, Cynthia and Mike returned to Steve’s show where the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star spoke of the Fox Sports newscaster’s consistency that allowed their relationship to thrive.

“We did have to work this thing out. But he was very consistent. He was very consistent throughout the whole time,” she revealed.

THEIR ENGAGEMENT

Mike surprised Cynthia with a romantic proposal during the opening of her wine cellar in Atlanta last month.

The 52-year-old, with the help of their daughters, popped the question by holding up cutouts of the words “Can We Be A Family?” before getting down on one knee and presenting Cynthia with a 5-karat solitaire.

A shocked Cynthia cried happy tears as she gave her resounding yes.

And to think it all began with a little matchmaking. It may have been Steve who brought them together in the beginning but a bigger hand kept them together. And Cynthia knows it.
