Camilla Luddington of 'Grey's Anatomy' Weds Actor Matthew Alan in California

"Grey’s Anatomy" star, Camilla Luddington, weds actor, Mathew Alan in a romantic coastline wedding.

Camilla Luddington is best known for her role as Dr. Jo Wilson, on the ABC hit series, “Grey’s Anatomy.” In the gaming world, she has done voice work for the coveted Lara Croft in the “Tomb Raider” video game.

Recently, the actress tied the knot with her long-term partner, Mathew Alan. Alan is also an actor, starring in Hulu’s “Castle Rock” and the Netflix series, “13 Reasons Why.”

The couple has been dating since 2008 and together are raising their daughter, Hayden. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, she shares the significance of having their daughter in the wedding:

“We kind of already feel married because we have a 2-year-old. But there’s something romantic to us about solidifying that family unit by having the ceremony and actually having Hayden present. To be honest, I’m just excited to get into that new normal of married life.”

Luddington gave her followers a sneak peek of her wedding. Referring to their relationship status; as parents to Hayden and now husband and wife, she writes:

“Mom + Dad got hitched this weekend!!!!!!! So many more pics to come…”

The couple looked radiant in earthy colors, matching their natural setting and leafy bouquet. Luddington wore a hand-embroidered couture gown, designed by Mira Zwillinger. They wed in California, along the coastline, in front of 70 of their closest friends and family.

In honor of their first date at a Temper Trap concert, the bride walked down the aisle to the band's song, “Sweet Disposition.”

In her Instagram post, she shares that four months before their nuptials, their wedding venue was destroyed in the Malibu fires. Speaking to PEOPLE about her choice of venue, she tells the magazine:

“The thing that I always said to Matt is that I just wanted to see the ocean.”

Losing a venue doesn’t seem like much of a seatback when you have wedding planner Karen Waldron of Ampersand Entertainment on your side. Lunddington was able to get her wish and have the wedding of her dreams by the ocean.
