Catherine Zeta-Jones Shares a Beautiful Photo from the 2019 Emmys
Catherine Zeta-Jones, the actress best known for “The Mask of Zorro” and “Chicago,” took to Instagram to share a photo of the beautiful outfit she wore for the 2019 Emmy Awards.
The event, which took place on September 22 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, was filled with surprises.
“We’re going to the Emmys.”
One of them was that “Leaving Neverland,” the HBO documentary that details allegations of child sexual abuse against Michael Jackson, won Best Documentary or Nonfiction Special at the Creative Arts Emmys, held a week before the main event.
Catherine Zeta-Jones’ show-stopping outfit
Catherine Zeta-Jones surprised the audience, too, but in the most positive way possible. She went to the ceremony wearing a beautiful cerise pink strapless gown with a transparent insert that attracted a lot of sights.
Her outfit could be detailed in the post she shared on Instagram. In it, she was posing with the one-of-a-kind dress that featured a high leg slit, giving a glimpse at her matching heels and her toned leg.
One of the most elegant aspects of her outfit was the long cape that fell and beautifully covered her arms and back. Catherine proved added matching accessories, such as long earrings and her wedding ring, that made her look even better.
Michael Douglas’ ensemble
Michael Douglas, the actress’ 74-year-old husband, opted for an exquisite and classic ensemble as he chose black shoes, a dark blue suit, a white shirt, and a black tie.
Minutes before arriving at the venue, Catherine uploaded a short clip showing her and Michael in the backseat of a vehicle on their way to the event.
Carpool before the ceremony
In it, the actress said that she was off to the Emmy with “this fabulous nominee,” turning the camera to Michael, who was nominated for playing Sandy Kominsky on the Netflix show “The Kominsky Method.”
“We’re going to the Emmys,” sang Michael soon before his wife repeated the song. “Carpool to the Emmy Awards!!!!! Congrats to my hubby on his nomination tonight. Love you so [much],” Catherine wrote in the caption.
At the moment, the couple is still focused on their careers in the entertainment industry. In Catherine’s case, the last acting gig she got was as Vicki Ellis on the Facebook Watch series “Queen America.”
Michael, on the other hand, is expected to play the voice of Hank Pym in the upcoming Marvel TV series “What If…?”
