Michael Douglas Shares Photo with Son Cameron Supporting His New Frank Book

Michael Douglas and his son, Cameron's relationship was once threatened by Cameron's troubled past. However, they have since grown extremely close to each other.

Cameron Douglas, the son of actor Michael Douglas, struggled with addiction in the past. In 2009, his addiction resulted in him being put on house arrest.

His girlfriend at the time, Kelly Scott was caught smuggling him heroin. She, in turn, was sentenced to seven months in jail.

Now, years later, he is sober. The once-troubled youth decided to pen a memoir called “Long Way Home” to tell his story.

The book which will be officially released next week focuses on his family life. He also opens up about the eight years he spent in prison for possessing heroin and selling drugs.

His father, Michael Douglas took to social media site Instagram to post a picture with Cameron. In the caption, he revealed details about the upcoming book and support for his son. He wrote:

"My son Cameron’s book, LONG WAY HOME, will be released on October 22. I would very much appreciate your help and support in spreading the word. I’ve included a link in my bio to where it can be purchased. Thank you!"

Fans flooded the post with love and support. Many were also extremely excited for the new release and flooded the comment sections. One said:

"Congratulations on the launch of this book! I can’t wait to read it."

Over thirteen thousand people liked the post. Many also posted sweet prayers while some also pointed out how sweet his father was for supporting him during the release. A fan wrote:

Cameron is not Michael's only son. Michael has two other children, a daughter Carys Zeta Douglas, and a son, Dylan Michael Douglas.
