Elton John's Mother-In-Law Gladys Furnish Passes Away
Gladys Furnish, the mother of David Furnish, Elton John's husband, has recently died and now the singer will have to help his other-half mourn her passing.
The news was shared by Furnish through his official Instagram account, where he paid tribute to the beautiful woman who brought him into this world.
In order to do this, the Canadian filmmaker decided to post a black-and-white photo of his mother and father, Jack, on their wedding day.
GLADYS WAS AN ANGEL ON EARTH
According to Furnish, Gladys "radiated gentle kindness" and was someone very devoted to her family, sharing not only her love but also her immense wisdom.
The 56-year-old also explained why he chose to use a photo of his parents' wedding day to honor Gladys:
"I treasure this photo of Mum and Dad on their wedding day - bursting with joy and fresh-faced optimism over their union and the life they planned to build together. "
SHE SHOWED HER CHILDREN WHAT LOVE TRULY WAS
Furnish went on to say that Jack and Gladys shared the greatest love that he has ever known and that their "rock-solid" relationship was the foundation from which he and his brothers flourished.
Gladys' passing comes just two years after John lost his own mother
The grieving son ended his tribute with a very emotional and beautiful promise to his late mother:
"Rest in peace Mum. You lived your life impeccably. I will never forget you. I promise to do my best to pass the gifts you gave to me on to my own beautiful sons."
WHEN ELTON JOHN'S MOTHER PASSED AWAY
Gladys' passing comes just two years after John lost his own mother, Sheila Farebrother, at the age of 92. At the time, the "Rocket Man" singer also use Instagram to remember her.
John posted a photo of himself standing next to Sheila and let his millions of fans and followers know that she had just passed away and that he was in shock.
The icon wished his mother safe travel, telling her how much he will miss her and thanking her for everything she did for him throughout the years.
