Lela Rochon and Husband Antoine Fuqua Step out Together to Watch Daughter Asia Play Cinderella in High School Play

For the first time in months, Lela Rochon shared a family photo which includes her husband Antoine Fuqua. The couple recently figured in a controversy involving Antoine kissing Nicole Murphy.

In the wake of the controversial kissing photo of Lela Rochon’s husband, Antoine Fuqua with Nicole Murphy, the “Waiting To Exhale” actress shut down her Instagram in reaction. When she finally returned to social media, she tried to keep her privacy by disabling her comments section.

For weeks, Lela was never seen in the company of her alleged philandering husband even when she showed up at the premiere of OWN’s “David Makes Man” in August. Her wedding ring was also visibly missing from her finger.

But that changed recently when Lela posted a photo of her and Antoine at their daughter, Asia Fuqua’s school performance. Judging from the picture, it seems like all’s well between the couple.

The proud parents were celebrating their daughter’s successful stint playing Cinderella in her school’s rendition of “Into The Woods.” They were all smiles though as they stood at each side of their glowing daughter.

Lela likewise shared photos of Asia’s performance showing proof that the young woman had the genes of her mother.

In her caption, Lela wrote,

“Congratulations to our amazing daughter @asiafuqua on her starring role of “Cinderella” in #intothewoods you killed it baby girl. We are so proud of you! Shine forever bright!!”"

Lela and Antoine have been married for 20 years. As such, a photo of the 53-year-old director kissing Nicole splashed all over the news must have been a big blow.

In spite of Nicole’s denials of a romantic relationship and her apology for the misconstrued photo, Lela lashed out by throwing shade at Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife in a now-deleted Instagram post.

Many also slammed Nicole for repeating the same mistakes. LisaRaye McCoy chimed in suggesting Nicole went after another woman's husband too in the past. That husband happened to be hers.

Meanwhile, Antoine remained mum and allowed the issue to die down. That seemed to work seeing that he and Lela are back to being husband and wife. At least that’s what their latest photo seems to suggest.
