FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

LEBRON JAMES' CHALLENGING PATH TO GREATNESS
This is something he tries to make his children realize so that they grow up to pave their own paths as well.
Before exploding into a basketball superstar, he once lived in the projects of Akron, Ohio, where he would pay $17 a month in rent.
TEACHING HIS CHILDREN TO PAVE THEIR OWN PATHS
Now that his children are growing up, he believes that even though they don't go through what he had to go through when he was younger, it is still important to work hard, as there's still a road to travel.
“No matter if you came from the top of the top or you came from the bottom of the bottom, you still have a road to travel.”
THE IMPORTANCE OF HUMILITY, HARD WORK, AND COMPASSION
It's clear that LeBron and Savannah are doing a great job raising their children. LeBron James has reiterated the importance of humility, hard work, and compassion to his kids, and that's evident in the way they treat one another.
LeBron and Savannah have been together since high school, and according to LeBron, he is what he is today because of his wife.
“[Savannah] was down when I was at my high school, no cameras, no lights. And she was there with me. You wouldn’t be talking to me right now if it weren’t for her.”

While they welcomed their first son LeBron Jr. in 2004, they tied the knot in September 2013 in front of 200 guests in San Diego.
