Entertainment Tonight: Shakira's Super Bowl Boots Reportedly Cost $20,000

The Super Bowl came and went amid much fanfare, and football fans loved every moment the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers battled for the championship. But it also saw the singer, Shakira, make several fashion statements.

One of her striking looks is a bedazzled ruby outfit and thigh-length boots; the latter is a bit on the high side. The footwear is Shakira's favorite, and she has owned it for about 15 years.

THEY ARE HER FAVORITES

The singer gave the boots to the fashion designer, Dan Life, to add the bedazzling effects. In a statement to "Entertainment Tonight," the designer said,

"So, the boots were Shak's favorite pair that she wore for so many years, and so this was a very sentimental addition to her look."

Dan got contacted by Shakira's stylist, who asked him to help bring the singer's idea to life. He had direction from her team, and also got to work with the singer at the finishing stage.

SPARKLY EVERYTHING

The bedazzled work on the boots consists of 30,000 Siam Swarovski crystals. The crystals brought the price of the footwear to $20 ,000 and it took ten days and nights of work.

It featured a two-piece bralette, a bomber jacket with "S" on the left breast, and high-waist shorts.

Shakira's outfit, on the other hand, featured a sparkly bustier crop top, with criss-cross straps, and a mini fringed skirt. The outfit is a design of Peter Dundas, and she had a red guitar with 70,000 Swarovski jet hematite crystals to match it.

SHE WENT TO "ZOOTOPIA"

The "She Wolf" singer looked stunning in the outfit, and it reminded her fans of her "Zootopia" character, "Gazelle." One person commenting on Twitter wrote,

"I will never shut up about the fact that Shakira wore her 'Zootopia' outfit for the Super Bowl half-time show. I'm living for this."

Shakira also had some stunning looks from her performances aside from the red outfit. For her closing act alongside Jennifer Lopez, the Colombian native went golden.

BEYOND THE OUTFITS

The "Hips Don't Lie" singer wore a metallic outfit designed by Peter Dundas. It featured a two-piece bralette, a bomber jacket with "S" on the left breast, and high-waist shorts.

The "Whenever, Forever" singer paired the look with gold-colored Adidas trainers, and beside her, Lopez shined in silver. The "Jenny from the Block" singer wore a bodysuit from the same designer her "Latina sister" used.

Shakira went through a rigorous workout to achieve her Super Bowl body. According to her trainer, Anna Kaiser, the singer had to cut out dairy and sugar.

The "Did it Again" crooner focused on lean proteins, and vegetables. Shakira also got fit with weight and core workouts, and dance-based cardio.
