Page Six: Prince Harry Reportedly Doesn't Want Wife Meghan & Son Archie to Go through What He Did as a Child
During a speech for Prince Harry's first public event since stepping down as a senior member of the royal family and moving to North America, he opened up about his childhood trauma.
Since making his royal exit, Prince Harry made his first public appearance at the JPMorgan-sponsored Alternative Investment Summit, where he discussed mental health.
The couple announced that they are pursuing financial independence, so it was likely a paid event. According to Page Six, a source at the event said Harry and Meghan Markle were introduced by Gayle King to a crowd of billionaires.
It was revealed Meghan made the opening remarks, in which she expressed her love for Harry, who opened about his own mental health and childhood trauma from his life in the royal family. The source said:
"Harry spoke about mental health and how he has been in therapy for the past three years to try to overcome the trauma of losing his mother."
In January Meghan and Harry shocked the world when they announced that they would be stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
At the event he opened up about the decision admitting that it was a difficult one but ultimately he left his royal life for the sake of his family.
For years he had been contemplating leaving the British Monarchy, and after months of talks with Queen Elizabeth, he could not be swayed. The source said Harry opened about his departure revealing:
"He does not regret their decision to step down as senior royals because he wants to protect his family. He does not want Meghan and their son Archie to go through what he did as a child."

He said for many years he had "shut down all his emotions." After going through a wild phase in his 20's, his brother Prince William eventually convinced him to seek therapy.
According to Daily Mail, after their speaking event in Miami, Meghan Harry were spotted enjoying a date night with Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez.
The couple spent their evening at the famous Habitat restaurant, which located inside the 1 Hotel South Beach. Since striking a friendship, a source said Jennifer was overheard inviting them and their son Archie to their home for a playdate.
