Tina Knowles took to Instagram an honest critique after watching the Netflix miniseries “Self Made,” which she gave a thumbs up.

The mom of the famous singer gave a glimpse of the storyline, which heavily focused on Madam C.J. Walker and her journey to becoming wealthy amid discrimination. Knowles said:

“It was such a great story of overcoming adversity. This woman’s father was a former slave and she went on to be the first African-American female millionaire.”

Now that the young-at-heart mom has knees ready for battle, she is fit and well to be moving around and living an active lifestyle.

Knowles further emphasized that Walker went against and beat the odds on her way to success. The film brought pride to the famous singer’s mom all the more for being a black woman.

GOING AGAINST A HATER

Beyonce’s mom recently made headlines after clapping back at an Instagram user who told her to “disappear with your daughter and grandchildren.”

The harsh comment came after Knowles made a joke about corduroy pillows on the social media platform. Her since-deleted comment suggested the woman show respect and leave her page. It read:

“First of all, I am not a girl. So try to conjure up a little respect and secondly if you don’t need it then get off my page and go where you like what you see. With love.”

The troll responded by asking why Knowles deleted her comments as well as their exchange of messages that followed, but the 66-year-old entrepreneur no longer replied.

RECOVERING FROM SURGERY

For a while, Knowles was off social media as she focused on recovering from a knee replacement surgery that took place six weeks earlier.

She previously had a successful surgery that encouraged her to have another similar one and garner the same results.

Knowles kept her fans and followers updated after the medical procedure and noted that she only felt little pain.

Now that the young-at-heart mom has knees ready for battle, she is fit and well to be moving around and living an active lifestyle.
