Bindi Irwin said yes to her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell, on Wednesday, and her brother, Robert Irwin, felt proud to have walked her down the aisle in place of their late father.
Robert Irwin may only be sixteen, but he has already walked a lady down the aisle, that woman being his sister, Bindi Irwin, who wed her charming prince, Chandler Powell, yesterday.
The marriage held despite the tumultuous circumstances the world finds itself presently, due to the coronavirus pandemic, which ultimately meant that the new bride had to shelve all of her marriage plans.

Altogether, the wedding turned out to be a success, and Robert was more than proud to have taken the place of his late father, Steve Irwin, in walking his sister down the aisle.
The 16-year-old took to Instagram to post a sweet tribute to his sister on her wedding day, wishing her well as she begins a new chapter of life. Captioning a cute wedding photo of Bindi and Chandler, Robert wrote:
"...words cannot describe how happy and proud I am that today you started your married life and celebrated love…"
The teenager expressed delight that despite the hard times the world was facing, the new couple were able to celebrate their love, adding that he was honored to walk Bindi down the aisle.
Robert also added that although Bindi and Chandler had to alter their wedding plans, to keep everyone safe due to the coronavirus, the day still turned out to be emotional and beautifully spontaneous.
Bindi and her husband had planned their nuptials for over a year.
In his conclusion, Robert said that he knew their late father was with them, adding that the family was delighted with Bindi and Chandler's future as a couple.
In an interview with People last year, Robert revealed that his sister asked him to walk her down the aisle, a request that made him feel very stoked. He said:
"Oh I was just so stoked. I was so excited and really honored for her to ask me to walk her down the aisle."

Bindi and Chandler's wedding was held at the Australian zoo and turned out to be a small, intimate ceremony, without any guests, a difficult but necessary measure in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
In an Instagram post about her wedding, Bindi said that she and her husband had planned their nuptials for over a year, but watched as all their plans changed, leading them to have no guests at the wedding.
The television personality further said that she wished her friends and family could have been there with her and Chandler but said they would be sharing pictures and videos.
Bindi also asked the world to hold on to hope and love to see out this trying period, before going on to narrate the events that took place during her wedding ceremony, including the lighting of candles in honor of Steve Irwin.
