Marla Gibbs Shares Stuns in Leopard Dress Alongside Sister Frieda in a Rare Old Photo
'The Jeffersons' star Marla Gibbs celebrated national siblings day by sharing a rare picture of herself on the red carpet with her sister Frieda Rentie.
Marla Gibbs from "The Jeffersons" shared a rare picture in honor of national siblings day, of herself with her sister Frieda Rentie, who she called "gorgeous" in her caption.
The two sisters are both actresses and used to make appearances together at various Hollywood events. The throwback picture was taken when they arrived arm in arm at the Trumpet Awards.
It is reported, just like her famous sister, Freida has several film credits under her belt, including appearances in The "F.B.I," (1965), "Ironside" (1967), and "227" (1985).
Many fans shared their surprise in finding out that Marla had a sister, especially because some fans remembered a few of her roles. One fan remembered her character on 277.

A year ago, Marla guest-starred on a show by CBS family comedy called "The Neighboured." She played the character of a long-time resident in the area called "Miss Simpson."
She posted a few behind the scenes photos and revealed the addresses they had chosen for her home was cleverly linked to the sitcom she and Frieda starred in. She said, "[the] address is #227 How cool is that?!"
Showing just how involved the two sisters were of each other's careers one fan commented on the throwback picture, and also recalled seeing Frieda on "The Jeffersons," they and admitted:
"Oh yes I remember seeing her on a few episodes of the Jeffersons. I thought you two favored. Now I know."
In an interview with Closer Weekly, Marla said "The Jeffersons" made a lasting change in her life, which she had always appreciated, she explained:
"[The show] brought me a lot of love that was missing in my life. People still tell me 'I love you, I gotta have a hug, Ms. Gibbs' and I'll hug them!"
It is reported, Marla doesn't like revealing her age to people. The 88-year-old said that when people ask her age, she says she is 30-years-old.
She explained that when people admit their real age, they tend to act accordingly, and she doesn't plan on slowing down, so 30-years-old is the best reflection of her vibrant spirit.
