Megan Thee Stallion Remembers Late Mom Holly Thomas on Her Birthday

Rapper, Megan Thee Stallion, shared a rare throwback picture from her childhood as she remembered her late mother with a heartfelt tribute for her birthday.

Megan Thee Stallion has made a name for herself since releasing the hit song "Hot Girl Summer." The rapper from Houston has had a stellar year mingling with Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Ciara.

Her success has been bitter-sweet because of the loss of her mother a year ago. In December 2019, she shared an emotional post about losing her mother and grandmother in the same month.

Megan said that she had to do several takes for the video because talking about the experience was too difficult for her to do without getting emotional.

She revealed that it was her first Christmas since her tragic loss, and the holiday was difficult for her to bear without them. However, she shared a positive message about people who were also dealing with grief and reassured them, saying, "the pain doesn't last forever."

Megan admitted that amid her success, she has been trying to stay positive and keep a smile on her face. Recently she opened up about her mother again and paid tribute to her on her birthday, Megan said:

"Happy birthday mama. I miss you every day! I know you're watching over me rooting for me and keeping me going."

Megan shared a throwback picture from her childhood of her mother, Holly, holding her as a baby for a professional photo shoot.

In her heartfelt message, Megan promised to keep all the lessons Holly taught her and shared her hope to make her mother proud. Singer, SZA, joined Megan's celebrity friends in wishing Holly a happy birthday and praised Megan for her accomplishments.
