LL Cool J's Daughter Nina Shows off Navel Piercing as She Poses in Colorful Swimsuit

The young starlet is making her own efforts to step out of her father’s tutelage. At 19 years old, she is showing not only that she really has the talent, but that she can also be in charge to carve her own way in music.

LL Cool J’s youngest daughter, Nina, is making her own way in the music industry and she is making sure everyone notices. Even though his father has supported her to develop her first steps into business, she seems to know which way to go.

As she usually does, the 19-year-old took to Instagram to post a photo where she shows off her body, flaunting her navel piercing and wearing a colorful swimsuit. For Nina, this time of quarantine has been good to go out and have some fun in the sun.

SINGLE DEBUT

Being the daughter of the famed rapper and actor, it is no surprise that Nina-Symone Smith showed interest in developing a career in the music industry. In fact, in August last year, she debuted the music video of her first single, which was titled “Call Me.”

Over the years, Nina actually kept herself very low key profile, and we only saw her on red carpets and events along with her parents. However, as soon as she celebrated her 19th birthday, she went on to premiere the song, thus stepping out of her parents’ shadow.

FAMILY MAN

LL Cool J, whose real name is James Todd Smith, and his wife, Simone I. Smith, have been married for over 25 years. They met when they were teenagers in 1987 and after 8 years of dating, they got married in 1995. Since then, they have been through really hard times together.

In 2004, Simone was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer, called chondrosarcoma, and she had to undergo serious and invasive surgery. The musician stopped everything to be with her while she fully recovered from the illness.

During an interview the couple had with Oprah, Simone explained why she stopped talking to LL Cool J when they were back from the honeymoon. She said that she watched the music video for his song "Doin' It", and told him there had to be boundaries in his work now that they were married.

The couple shares four children, son Najee, 30, and their three daughters Italia, 29, Samaria, 24, and Nina,19. They are all very close to each other, and both have raised them under the importance of keeping family values.
