The music legend recently reminded her followers and fans of that ageless beauty when she posted a throwback image via her verified Instagram account.
Janet planned to head out on tour again in June to support her upcoming album, "Black Diamond."
Captioned "Hey u guys," the picture shows a younger-looking Janet smiling and waving at the camera as she held a telephone to her ear.
For the snap, the "Together Again" wore a white long-sleeved sweater, a pair of blue jeans, and what appeared to be a leather wristwatch.
Although the image has only been on Instagram for a day, it has garnered over 78,000 likes and thousands of comments.
It would appear that Janet has developed a habit of sharing old photos as Inquisitr reported back in April that she shared a stunning image from the '90s.
In the image, the singer-songwriter and actress rocked a white knitted crop top with long sleeves which she paired with high-waisted light blue jeans.
Her look was made even better with her curly brunette hair cascading down her back with her only accessory being hoop earrings and some gold eye makeup.
Janet came into the spotlight as far back as April 1974 when she appeared on-stage for the first time alongside her brother, Randy, in the Jackson family's Las Vegas act.
Since then, the music powerhouse has continued to make a name for herself, even taking up acting roles in "A New Kind of Family," "Different Strokes," and "Fame."
Back in February, CNN revealed that Janet planned to head out on tour again in June to support her upcoming album, "Black Diamond."
The tour would reportedly include music from her 12 multi-platinum albums as well as a performance of "Rhythm Nation 1814," which recently marked its 30th Anniversary.
In addition to that, BET divulged that a new biopic about Janet's life was allegedly in the works - although no details have been spilled yet.
CNN followed that report up with the news that a "Jeopardy!" contestant had mistaken the music icon for Ariana Grande during an April episode.
The site added that one of its contributors, Bakari Sellers, even shared the clip of the incident in a tweet and joked that people didn't deserve to come outside again.
