Todd Chrisley Reminds Fans Memorial Day Is about More Than BBQ in a Touching Post
Todd Chrisley is all-American, and he'll never forget those who have made it possible for him to enjoy being that. He believes we should all pay respects to our fallen.
On Tuesday, Memorial Day, Todd Chrisley took to Instagram to remind his followers of the true meaning behind Memorial Day. Established in 1971, it's all about remembering those who gave their lives for our freedom.
Memorial Day is often celebrated by sharing grill-cooked meals with family and friends. While everyone loves good food, it's essential to keep in mind what the annual holiday represents.

CHRISLEY'S MEMORIAL DAY MESSAGE
In his post, Chrisley included a poster with the message, "Remember & Honor" just above the American flag. Above it were the words Memorial Day and five white stars.
He wrote in part: "Let's remember that today is about more than BBQs, lake fun and hanging out, it's about all of the men and women that have fought and died for this country."
JULIE CELEBRATED ON MOTHER'S DAY
Chrisley's message follows his Mother's Day post two weeks ago in which he celebrated his mom, Nanny Faye. The older woman has often appeared on his reality show, "Chrisley Knows Best."
"Happy Mother's Day to the most amazing mother any kid could ever hope to have...I love you beyond infinity," wrote the doting son. He also shared a photo of Faye wearing pearls and smiling broadly.
Chrisley's show off appreciation for others comes a coronavirus scare encountered just with last month. Following the diagnosis, Chrisley spent four days in the hospital.
SAVANNAH GIVES UPDATE ON DAD
During his stay, daughter Savannah gave fans updates on what was going on. Soon after he returned home, Chrisley was able to take a smiling photo, which his daughter made fun of in her post.
The reality star discussed his experience on his podcast the week after. He credited his faith with helping him get through the situation that left him feeling the sickest he'd ever felt in his life.
"This has been a life-altering experience for me. I know it's been a life-altering experience for everyone in my family," he noted on the show, adding that health is one of the most important things in life.
CHRISLEY DISREGARDS OLDER DAUGHTER
While Chrisley had the support of most of his family, there's one person that probably stayed out of the way during his battle. Daughter Lindsie and Chrisley were are still estranged.
On National Daughter's Day last September, Chrisley paid no mind to his eldest daughter as he celebrated his younger daughter, Savannah, 22. He showered praise on her in a sweet and funny post.
Chrisley also doted on his granddaughter, Chloe, who he and wife Julie currently have custody of. The six-year-old is Kyle's daughter. Happy Memorial Day to the Chrisleys.
