Cookbook Author and T.V. personality, Chrissy Teigen, announces she is getting her breast implants removed because she is “over it.”
On Tuesday evening, the mother of two took to her Instagram to excitedly share that she is set to undergo surgery very soon. Her announcement came alongside a throwback topless photo of her in a pool of water.
In her caption, she highlighted what she looked forward to the most after her surgery. She wrote: “I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort!”
[Chrissy Teigen] sparked curiosity when she posted a video of her going through a nasal swab as a requirement for her COVID-19 test.
Many of her celebrity friends took to the comment section to offer words of encouragement. Ayesha Curry admitting that she had once been in the former model’s shoes said, “life changing, you’re gonna love it. I got mine out last year. They were making me so sick.”
“RHOA” Star Kandi, on the other hand, drew some inspiration from her as she commented, “I’ve been thinking about doing the same thing!”
Others like T.V Host, Claudia Jordan praised her transparency and body positivity while some including Supermodel Naomi Campbell wished her well.
The Cut reports that Chrissy felt compelled to reveal the news of her surgery after she sparked curiosity when she posted a video of her going through a nasal swab as a requirement for her COVID-19 test.
According to Cheat Sheet, in a chat with Glamour U.K. in March, Teigen shared that she had the procedure done when she was 20 years old. She added that she wanted her boobs to look “perky” for a swimsuit shoot.
While many might be afraid of the backlash that follows such admission, Teigen does not care much for public outrage.
Cheat Sheet recalls that about a month ago, there was an uprising of negative criticism after she shared a “thirst trap” video. She, however, shut down her critics, accusing them of always finding a reason to judge.
The T.V Host’s announcement doesn’t come as a shock as Daily Mail recently reported that earlier in the year, she opened up on her regrets following the surgery while she marked its 10th anniversary.
Although the video of her being tested was, according to Fox News, regarded as a sign of her “privilege,” we cannot say for sure if the public still holds this premise after the new revelation.
