NBA Star Allen Iverson and Daughter Tiaura Celebrate His 45th Birthday in New Posts
NBA star Allen Iverson dressed like LL Cool J for his 45th birthday. His daughter paid tribute to him with a sweet message expressing her love for him.
At the height of his career in the 1990s, NBA legend, Allen Iverson, was an MVP player and 11 times All-Star player.
It is reported, while many coaches and referees didn't like his often aggressive and undisciplined approach to basketball, he was a fan favorite.
With a height of almost 6ft tall, he earned a lot of respect for his fearlessness against other players and his determination to play, even in the face of an injury during some of his games.
Recently, Allen celebrated his 45th birthday. As he reflected on his life, he had a lot to be grateful for. In a humble message to his friends, fans, and family, he wrote:
"Thank God, I'm blessed to be here right now. I thank the people that helped me and love me for me. U know who u are!!! Ima keep Pushing."
Allen expressed his appreciation for the people who had loved him and said he loved them back. He also thanked people for their birthday messages.
For his special day, the NBA star took a step back in time to the early 1990s and paid homage to another legend, rapper LL Cool J as he dressed in a look inspired by him. "Thank God for Another Year. Still Alive at 45," Allen shared in his caption.
LL Cool approved of the look and commented, "happy birthday, Great One!" His daughter, Tiaura Iverson, reposted a photo of Allen in his rap inspired gear, and in a heart-warming tribute she gushed:
"Happy 45th Birthday to my daddy! I love you so much."
Allen and his wife Tawanna Iverson were college sweethearts, and the couple has five children together. After divorcing in 2013, it is not clear if they remarried, but they have a close relationship.
At his 2016 Hall of Fame Induction, he held back tears as he expressed his love for Tawanna and thanked her for making a better father. Showing his family bond in another tribute for his birthday, Tiaura shared a photo with her father.

Allen also experienced adversities off the basketball court. On Valentine's Day in 1993, a racially triggered fight at a bowling alley left him with a 15-year prison sentence.
However, he only ended up serving four months and was left off the charges after a jury couldn't find sufficient evidence.
