David Bowie's Widow Iman Honors Him on Their Anniversary with Montage of Their Wedding Photos

David Bowie was recently honored by his wife, Iman, on the couple's wedding anniversary. The former model shared a heartwarming video to celebrate the occasion.

Famous make-up mogul, Iman is celebrating her wedding anniversary to her late husband, David Bowie, four years after his death.

In a recent Instagram post, Iman shared a touching video that featured a slideshow of the couple from the wedding day.

The clip saw David and his bride nestled up against each other in their wedding photos. Bowie and Iman were also shown striking poses with their families.

While the slideshow transitioned from one photo to another, Bowie's "Wild in the Wind" was played as background music for the clip. Captioning the footage, Iman wrote:

"June 6th, Wedding Anniversary. #BowieForever #EternalLove. David Bowie: Wild is the Wind"

The heartwarming clip garnered reactions from followers who took to the comment section shortly after Iman shared the post.

One user wrote, "Truly one of the most beautiful & perfect couplings of all time,?" while another sweetly added, "Happy anniversary! What a beautiful love story to a lovely soundtrack." Several other fans also left sweet notes for the couple.

HOW THEY MET

The famous couple first met at a dinner party in 1990 shortly after Iman retired from modeling, and for Bowie, it had reportedly been a case of love at first sight.

Despite being skeptical about getting into a relationship with a famous person, Iman agreed to his advances. By November 1990, they made their first public appearance together at an AIDS research event.

THEIR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING

After dating for a while, Bowie proposed to Iman in Paris. The couple first tied the knot in a private Switzerland ceremony on April 24, 1992. Their union was then solemnized in Italy on June 6, 1992.

Before Bowie and Iman started their relationship, they had both been previously married. Bowie was married to Mary Angela Barnett with whom he had a son. Iman, on the other hand, was previously married to her first husband, Hassan, and later, Spencer Haywood, with whom she shares a daughter.

While Iman reportedly admitted to being the strict parent, Bowie was described as a relaxed and fun and easy going parent. To celebrate her father's second death anniversary, Lexi and her mother got tattoos in honor of the late singer.

While Lexi has maintained popularity on social media, she is yet to announce whether she would be going into entertainment just like her parents.

She, however, appears to have a knack for visual arts and has an Instagram page where she shares some of her artworks with fans.
