MEETING ERIN DARKE
Radcliffe met Erin Darke in 2012 while working on the biographic movie "Kill Your Darlings," in which the actor played the part of iconic Beat generation poet Allen Ginsberg, who is inadvertently drawn into a murder that would shock the nation.
Darke played Gwendolyn, a college girl who tries to seduce Ginsberg, and had a series of flirty scenes with Radcliffe, during which, he confessed her fell in love with her. He said:
"Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting."

For Radcliffe, the attraction was immediate and overpowering, so much so that he had difficulties staying in character while working with Darke. He revealed:
"There's a moment when she makes me laugh, and I'm laughing as me and not as my character. She was incredibly funny and smart. I knew I was in trouble."

ERIN DARKE -- ACTRESS
Darke, who is 5 years older than Radcliffe, is a Flint Michigan native, who is best known to TV audiences as Cindy Reston from the drama series "Good Girls Revolt;" Mary in "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel;" and Leeta in "Dietland."
Darke has a long list of films in her resume, dating back to 2009, among them "We Need to Talk About Kevin," "Still Alice," "Complete Unknown," "Summer '03," and of course, the movie that changed her life, "Kill Your Darlings."
Apart from her passion for her work as an actress, Darke is a dedicated swimmer, and was once a lifeguard. She is also a devoted sports fan and follows her favorite team, Michigan's Detroit Lions. Radcliffe commented wryly:
"My girlfriend is from Michigan, so there's always a Lions game on Thanksgiving, with the misery or joy that that entails."
Radcliffe and Darke refer to each other as their best friend, and 8 years after they first met, their relationship is rock solid. Darke confessed:
"One of the first things we bonded over was how much we really love what we do and there’s something that’s really beautiful (...) about being with someone who just innately understands that about you."
For Radcliffe, their closeness means that he can share every part of his life with Darke, including things he never thought he'd reveal. He confided:
"I grew up doing lots of things where I thought, 'This is super nerdy. I’ll never be able to do this around a girl' (...) [when] you find the relationship you’re meant to be in. It’s like, 'Oh, I can do all of that stuff and you don’t mind.'"
WEDDING PLANS
Though the couple have now been together for 8 years, they have yet to set a date or announce plans to marry, though rumors about the nuptials abound. Radcliffe said:
"At least three different times, somebody has written that we’re getting married, and Emma Watson is gonna be the maid of honor, and Rupert Grint is my best man."

LOVE IN QUARANTINE
The couple, like so many others, are in quarantine. They are staying in Radcliffe's New York apartment and a recent Twitter hoax claimed he was infected with the COVID-19 virus. Radcliffe responded:
"I was immediately like, quite amused by it. It's not the first time I've had something crazy written about me. I don't ever think there's been a rumor about me that was so topical."
The actor assured his fans that he and Darke are "very Ok" and doing well. They are spending their time catching up on their reading and building LEGO projects, namely a 3200 piece Jurassic Park.
For the two love birds, being together to the exclusion of all else will hardly be an ordeal, but just another opportunity to spend quality time together -- something their busy careers often curtail.
