Mitchell held the camera as he posed with his children, Allure, 18, Lyric, 21, and Wisdom, 2 in the first photo he shared. The second was a sonogram of their soon-to-be family member. In his caption, he proudly wrote,
“I love being a Father! It is such a blessing! Thank you Lord for all my children. Father of four.”
The licensed pastor also shared a quote from Psalm 112:2 before greeting his fellow dads a Happy Father’s Day.
In May, Mitchell proudly revealed the sex of his unborn child with the help of his pregnant wife, Asia Lee and their daughter, Wisdom.
Mitchell’s first two children are from his first marriage to Tyisha Hampton.
In his version of Tik Tok’s “Wipe It Down” challenge, the "Kenan and Kel" star wore a shirt that read, “This Dad is Going to Be a Daddy Again” while wiping his bathroom mirror and singing the song.
Lee soon joins him wearing the mom version of his shirt. When Wisdom enters the frame, they all point at her mom’s belly. The video ended with a text announcement that read, “IT’S A BOY.”
The upcoming child will be Mitchell’s second with Lee who gave birth to Wisdom in 2017. The couple wed in 2012.
Mitchell’s first two children are from his first marriage to Tyisha Hampton. They ended their 6-year marriage in 2005.
Shortly after, Mitchell went through a phase of depression and drugs. He once spoke about feeling like life wasn't working out after his divorce. This also led him to ponder suicide.
Mitchell’s life turned around when he got involved in a church in Los Angeles. In 2015, he spoke to People about finding peace. Four years later, he announced that he had become a licensed pastor after working for the church ministry for eight years.
