Dennis Quaid Was Married Three Times before — Meet the Actor's Ex-wives
Actor Dennis Quaid, best known for his outstanding performance in "Far from Heaven," was married three times before tying the knot with his current wife, Laura Savoie.
Quaid, born in April 1954, has been involved in the entertainment industry since the 70s when he landed minor roles in "Our Winning Season" and "Breaking Away."

DENNIS QUAID'S CAREER
From that point on, he started getting important roles in famous projects, including "The Right Stuff," "Great Balls of Fire!" and "Dragonheart."
Although most of Quaid's performances have been remarkable, he is probably best known for playing Nick Parker in Disney's 1998 romantic comedy "The Parent Trap," which was also Lindsay Lohan's film debut.
In 2002, Dennis Quaid landed a starring role in "Far from Heaven," for which he received a NY Film Critics Circle and an Independent Spirit Award, as well as a Golden Globe nomination.
Most recently, he was the main actor in Netflix's comedy TV series "Merry Happy Whatever," which was canceled after its first season.
HIS FIRST WIFE, PJ SOLES
As per his love life, Quaid has been married four times. His first wife was actress PJ Soles, whom he met in the late 70s on the set of "Our Winning Season."
They fell in love rather quickly, so they tied the knot in 1978, the same year that their movie was released. Sadly, five years later, they parted ways. The former couple didn't have children together.
Quaid then met actress Lea Thompson on the set of "Jaws 3D" in 1983, and they got engaged shortly after that. Three years later, though, they called it off.
Dennis Quaid's second wife, Meg Ryan, is also an actress. They met each other on the set of "Innerspace" back in 1987. At that point, nothing out of the ordinary happened between the two.
MEG RYAN AND DENNIS QUAID'S SON, JACK
The following year, they worked together again on the remake of "DOA," and that's when they decided to give love a try. On Valentine's Day 1991, they walked down the aisle, and one year later, they welcomed their son, Jack.
Unfortunately, Quaid and Ryan's relationship was far from perfect, and they got divorced in 2000 following rumors of her alleged affair with Russell Crow.
Years after their relationship ended, Ryan revealed that Quaid had been unfaithful to her "for a very long time," something that the "Proof of Life" actress described as "very painful."
Back in April 2019, Quaid said that he still loved Ryan, adding that he was very fond of her and that they had a lot of fun together. He pointed out that, apart from their son, they shared 13 "good years," and that she made his life.

DENNIS QUAID'S TWINS WITH KIMBERLY BUFFINGTON
Quaid's third spouse was real-estate agent Kimberly Buffington. They exchanged marital vows in 2004, and three years later, their fraternal twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, were born.
In March 2012, she filed for divorce, claiming that their relationship had turned "insupportable" due to a conflict of their personalities.
Although she withdrew the papers a couple of months later, she restarted the process in October that year.
They reconciled again, but in June 2016, they announced that they were parting ways citing irreconcilable differences. On April 27, 2018, the process was finalized.

DENNIS QUAID AND LAURA SAVOIE'S RELATIONSHIP
Nowadays, Dennis Quaid is married to his fourth wife, Laura Savoie, who is 39 years younger than him.
They got engaged in October last year and were expected to tie the knot in April in Hawaii. Unfortunately, they had to postpone their ceremony due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
On June 2, they eloped to Santa Barbara and said "I Do" at a seaside resort with nobody but their pastor as a witness. The actor described his wife as the "most stunning bride."
Dennis Quaid and Laura Savoie, who earned a Master's Degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, began dating in May 2019 and fell in love "at first sight." Congratulations are in order for the new couple!
