How Celebrities like Halle Berry and Snoop Dogg Celebrated Mike Tyson's 54th Birthday
Celebrities ensured that they marked the 54th birthday of Mike Tyson with sweet posts that they dropped on their social media accounts.
Not only did fans of boxing champion and actor, Mike Tyson, praise him when he turned 54 on June 30, his celebrity friends also ensured that they did their bit in marking the milestone.
While Halle Berry stated through an Instagram post that she is “honored to know this real one,” Omarion posted an image of the boxer holding a bird in his hand as he claimed that he would “love and respect” him always.
There was the confirmation of a fight against Shannon Briggs and the possibility of a trilogy fight against Evander Holyfield.
For his part, Jamie Foxx dropped a black and white picture of him and Mike while praising him for providing many people with “incredible memories and moments.”
Snoop Dogg wasn’t left out of the birthday shout outs as he also uploaded a throwback photo of him and the former professional boxer, referring to him as "Iron Mike."
The birthday felicitations come over a month after Tyson was offered $20 million to return to the boxing ring. According to People, the offer was made by the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship whose president, David Feldman, told MMA Fighting that the organization was more than willing to increase the sum.
Just before that report, Tyson caused an uproar following his declaration that he would be returning to the ring to partake in exhibition fights.
CBS Sports reported that amid the rumors and excitement, the former heavyweight champion said he hoped the exhibition fights would raise money that would “help some homeless and drug-affected [expletive] like me."
The declaration was subsequently followed by clips of Tyson getting ready for the fights and reports of who he would be challenging in the ring.
As regards that, The Sun revealed that there was the confirmation of a fight against Shannon Briggs and the possibility of a trilogy fight against Evander Holyfield.
During an Instagram Live session, Shannon claimed that he and Mike had a one-on-one conversation and that the fight between them was “going to happen.”
Yahoo! Sports recalled that during a separate Instagram Live session with T.I, Mike said that he was working out and getting in shape for the charity exhibitions. Mike won 50 out of his 58 professional fights before he retired in 2005.
