The birthday felicitations come over a month after Tyson was offered $20 million to return to the boxing ring. According to People, the offer was made by the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship whose president, David Feldman, told MMA Fighting that the organization was more than willing to increase the sum.

Just before that report, Tyson caused an uproar following his declaration that he would be returning to the ring to partake in exhibition fights.

CBS Sports reported that amid the rumors and excitement, the former heavyweight champion said he hoped the exhibition fights would raise money that would “help some homeless and drug-affected [expletive] like me."

The declaration was subsequently followed by clips of Tyson getting ready for the fights and reports of who he would be challenging in the ring.
