Meet Omikaye and Mekhi Jr – Get to Know Actor Mekhi Phifer's Kids with Two Different Women

Mekhi Phifer is a prolific figure in Hollywood, and in addition to that, he is also a proud father to two sons whom he shares with two different women. Here's a look into the actor's life as a dad.

Actor and producer Mekhi Phifer is most famous for his role as "Dr. Grege Pratt" on the medical series, "ER."

Outside of his career as an actor, Phifer has quite a satisfying family life and is often seen showing off his sons on social media.

OMIKAYE PHIFER

Omikaye Phifer is Mekhi's first child whom he welcomed with his ex-wife, Malinda Williams. They got married in 1999. The union was, however, short-lived, and in 2003, the duo went their separate ways.

Today, Mekhi is proud of his son, and he isn't afraid to let the world know. In 2017, the doting father took to Instagram where he shared a photo of Omikaye, who was handsomely dressed in a black tuxedo.

While adding a caption, Mekhi sweetly wrote, "It's crazy how time flies!! I remember changing my youngblood's diapers, and now he's off to the prom!..."

Despite their failed marriage, Mekhi and Williams put their differences aside and have become great friends and co-parents.

MEKHI PHIFER JR

In 2007, Mekhi welcomed his second child, son Mekhi Phifer Jr. with his then-fiance, Oni Souratha. While speaking about the birth, Mekhi proudly described his newborn as beautiful while adding that he and Souratha were excited about the new addition.

Before the arrival of their baby, Mekhi had reportedly revealed that he was prepared to be a father again. He also added that he would tie the knot with Souratha shortly after the baby is born. But this never happened as the duo later separated.

Mekhi's separation from Souratha was, however, not able to get in the way of his relationship with their son. In 2006, the proud father shared a photo of Mekhi Jr., who appeared to have picked up an interest in movie directing just like his dad.

Despite two failed trials at finding love, Mekhi refused to give up and soon found love with Reshelet Barnes, whom he married at an intimate ceremony in 2013.

The duo has remained together ever since. Perhaps with Barnes, Mekhi will have his chance at living happily ever after.
