Kelly Clarkson, 38, allowed her daughter River to have fun by letting her get a purple streak in her hair over the weekend. In posting the news, she was wary of mom-shamers for the move.

"Before I get attacked for being the worst mom ever, it's safe, organic paint," wrote Kelly in a tweet on Saturday. She did not share any pictures. Fan reactions and their photos are found below.

CLARKSON REVEALS DAUGHTER HAS PURPLE STREAK

Clarkson joked that her six-year-old daughter "thinks she is as cool as Prince now." She revealed that the little girl was playing an air guitar and singing loudly as she rocked her new hairstyle.

Clarkson, who is also mom to four-year-old Remington Alexander, was delighted to see fans share their hairstyling experiences on their daughters, sons, and nieces.

Another user shared a photo of her daughter, five, rocking a shaved side as she relaxed in a flotation tube over the ocean. The user noted that it took the daughter six months of begging to get what she wanted.

One woman shared a photo of her granddaughter wearing an all-pink hairdo. The woman explained that it was also a non-chemically treated dye. "She's 7 going on 17," wrote the grandmom.

Another little one missed the mark totally when she attempted to dye her own hair. At just two, the little girl's mouth area was covered in purple, and she grinned widely. Luckily, the dye is non-toxic.

Savannah, 18, and Seth, 12, are now dealing with the couple's shocking split alongside their younger siblings. Clarkson filed for divorce in early June upon realizing they could no longer make it in their union.

The coronavirus pandemic reportedly exacerbated the issues they were having. A source through ET said that Clarkson and Blackstock were "having problems for several months" before they called it quits.

THE SINGER FACES PRESSURES OF THE PANDEMIC

In June, Clarkson described feeling like she was on an "emotional rollercoaster" amidst everything going on. Not only is she going through a divorce, but she's working from home while taking care of her kids.

Clarkson also went into her daily chores, having to cook a meal three times a day, and adapting to the kids' homeschooling. She can add coloring her daughter's hair to the list.
