In 2015, the NBA duo sat on O'Neal's podcast, where they laid bare all their differences and reminisced on times they worked together. O'Neal, a 7'1" champion, once shared about Kobe:

"You never know what stuff is going to happen. So you shouldn't let stuff linger. "Were we best friends? No. Did we respect the hell out of each other? 1,000%..."

Some days after the 42-year-old died in a helicopter crash alongside his daughter, Gianna, and nine others, O'Neal was on TNT, where he spoke highly of Bryant.

In their NBA days, Kobe, who would have recently turned 42, and O'Neal, 48, jointly won three out of the four NBA finals they played in.

Back then, their disagreements bothered around the fact that Bryant disapproved of O'Neal's work ethics while O'Neal criticized the late star's high number of shots.

Life after Bryant's passing had O'Neal, an NBA MVP recipient, erecting a shrine in honor of his late friend. During an interview he said:

"See the shrine I put up in my living room? So I definitely think about them every day, and the world is doing a great job of keeping them alive…"

Some days after the 42-year-old died in a helicopter crash alongside his daughter, Gianna, and nine others, O'Neal was on TNT, where he spoke highly of Bryant and the lovely relationship between him and O'Neal's kids.

The NBA star turned auxiliary police mentioned that he would always be there for Bryant's Wife, Vanessa, and their kids. When Bryant opened up on his tiff with O'Neal, fans got speculative as to if another feud was brewing.

At the time, the sports star mentioned that O'Neal's forbearing stature and attitude got his disapproval. He later took to social media, where he let fans know that it was all love, and there were no more feuds to come.
