Shavar Ross from 'Diff'rent Strokes' Celebrates His Only Son's 27th B-Day with a Throwback Pic

Shavar Ross recently paid tribute to his son, Seven, who just turned 27 years old: “Happy 27th birthday to the most interesting young man I know!”

Shavar Ross is a loving father-of-two and husband to a wife, Jackie, for almost three decades, often sharing photos of his family online.

He left his acting career not long after having children of his own - Seven who was born with autism, and Chelsea.

CELEBRATING SEVEN’S BIRTHDAY

Recently, he celebrated his son, Seven’s, 27th birthday with a throwback photo, alongside the caption: “Happy 27th birthday to the most interesting young man I know.”

The former actor posted a picture with his wife and son during Seven’s fourth birthday celebration at Planet Hollywood, where they were all in matching black clothing.

Years ago, after leaving the entertainment industry, Ross remained open to the idea of his children becoming actors. He shared:

“I’m not sure I’d want my children in the entertainment business without first getting a good education. [...] I’d be there to guide my kids if ever it happened."

A WONDERFUL HUSBAND

Ross is also a loving and dedicated husband, who tied the knot with Jackie on December 15, 1992, in Las Vegas.

Ross also revealed how his daughter contributed to his business and took the opportunity to thank her for her brilliance.

In his 26th wedding anniversary post, the former actor shared that he exchanged vows “knowing her [Jackie] less than two months.”

LIFE AFTER “DIFF’RENT STROKES”

Ross gained popularity in the hit television show “Diff’rent Strokes,” where he gave life to Dudley Johnson, and later appeared in over 30 more on-screen productions.

However, he left the industry after three decades and became a non-denominational pastor who pursued a bachelor’s degree in psychology. His new career goal came as he lived out Christianity more, wanting to know “how the mind and the spirit work together.”

A PROUD DAD

Recently, Ross paid tribute to his only daughter on Instagram, complimenting her for her leadership skills and business mind.

The proud father shared a photo of Chelsea on the beach and revealed how she now earns more than he does. Ross also revealed how his daughter contributed to his business and took the opportunity to thank her for her brilliance.
