WHERE DIANA GRE UP

Althorp House in Northamptonshire, England is where the People’s Princess grew up with her brother. The home has been in the Spencer family for more than 500 years.

HOW OLD SHE WAS ON HER DEATH

The People’s Princess passed away at age 36 with her companion Dodi Al Fayed who was 42. She was trying to get away from the paparazzi when the crash occurred.

In 2017, the 20th anniversary of Diana’s death, “Our Mother Diana: Her Life and Legacy” aired featuring the royal’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry. In the special, the siblings spoke candidly about losing their mother so suddenly.

SONS WERE YOUNG WHEN DIANA DIED

When their mother died, William was only 15 while Harry was 12. The younger royal recalled how they had a brief call with their mother before she died.

The siblings rushed the phone call with Diana because they were eager to get back to playing with their cousins at the Queen’s Scottish home in Balmoral. Speaking during the interview, Harry noted how he would’ve spoken to his mother more that day if he’d known it would be the last time they spoke.

On the 23rd anniversary of her death, the two men also noted how they would be paying tribute to their mother. In a joint statement on Kensington Royal, William and Harry revealed a statue of the late royal would be installed in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace.

The installation would be done on July 1, 2021, to mark Diana’s 60th birthday. The statue was commissioned in 2017 but the novel coronavirus outbreak caused a delay in completion.
