Following ten years of a happy marriage and five children produced in the process, the TV star and his second wife are seeking new adventures away from the “City of Angels.”

43-year-old actor James Van Der Beek and his beautiful family are about to start a new chapter in their lives as they reveal they are in the process of leaving their home in Los Angeles, California to relocate to the state of Texas.

James was the first to share his and -his wife of ten years- Kimberly’s plans, taking to social media to make the announcement accompanied by a series of images from the empty home they are leaving behind.

On the first image in the slideshow, post on September 30, 2020, Kimberly is sitting out in what used to be the family home next to the couple’s five children, as they all seem to be saying goodbye to a tree.

Next, we see James and Kimberly standing by the empty house’s fireplace, with James wearing shorts and a sleeveless shirt for a sporty look and Kimberly wearing a blue summer dress.

The news of James and Kimberly moving out of Los Angeles comes around two months after the husband and wife celebrated a big milestone in their relationship.

The last picture of the slideshow shows Olivia, 10, Joshua, 8, Annabel, 6, Emilia, 4, and Gwendolyn, 2, as they dwell in the house’s big and empty kitchen, which they probably are going to miss for a while.

“Sometimes a fuller life begins with an empty house. Leaving Los Angeles incredibly grateful for all the friends and memories we’ve made here. Onto the next big adventure!” the actor captioned the slideshow.

While James didn’t mention where are he and his family going to live from now own, Kimberly took to her Instagram on that same day to reveal that on that very date, the party of seven began a “10-day road trip” to their new home in Texas.

And as part of this new adventure, Kimberly shared, the family adopted to new rescue pups named Windsor and Able, which joined their two older dogs Rocky and Skye, with Kimberly adding that they are already getting along fine.

“We will document this trip in hopes that it can bring a smile to your face during such an uncertain time in the world,” Kimberly promised in the post’s caption.

Apart from sharing more details about their moving process and their road trip, Kimberly also gave a more precise hint at where in Texas the family was going to relocate last month, revealing during a podcast appearance that they will be near the city of Austin.

The news of James and Kimberly moving out of Los Angeles comes around two months after the husband and wife celebrated a big milestone in their relationship, with the two arriving at their 10-year wedding anniversary on August 1, 2020.

To mark the occasion, James took to his Instagram feed to share a romantic slideshow revisiting some of the most precious moments of their life together as they built their beautiful family.

“You’re the best human I know. I love you, and I look forward to earning your partnership for years to come,” James wrote on the post’s long and heartfelt caption.
