Stephanie Mills Shares Cool Throwback Pic with Usher as She Celebrates the R&B Star's Birthday

R&B singer Usher Raymond turned 42 and his friend, Stephanie Mills took to Instagram to share a throwback photo and a sweet tribute in celebration of the milestone.

Usher Raymond recently turned 42, and the R&B star was met with warm wishes from his loved ones and famous friends, including singer Stephanie Mills.

Taking to Instagram, Mills celebrated him by sharing a throwback photo of herself posing with the R&B star at an event. While she donned a one-shoulder black dress, Usher looked dapper in a white shirt and a brown hat.

With Mills flashing a charming smile and Usher stylishly leaning towards her, the superstar duo posed for the camera. She accompanied the image with a birthday note that read:

"Happy Birthday to this talented black man @usher #Usher.??"

Shortly after sharing the picture, fans and followers took to the comments section where they left sweet birthday wishes for Usher.

He and his girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea welcomed their first daughter together.

Usher was born in Dallas on October 14, 1978, but was raised in Chattanooga. He started off his musical career as a singer in his church choir when he was only six.

At some point, Usher and his family moved to Atlanta where he competed on the hit show, "Star Search." He would later land a contract with LaFace Records.

In 1994, at the age of 15, Usher released his debut album and he soon became famous for his vocals, fashion style, and impressive dance moves.

Following the release of his debut, Usher went on to make a name for himself in the music industry. In all, he has won 17 Billboard Music Awards and 8 Soul Train Music Awards.

Usher has also received a total of five Grammys and nine awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, amongst other achievements.

Usher's birthday comes only a few weeks after he and his girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, welcomed their first daughter together. The newborn makes the third child for Usher who shares two sons with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster.

With the recent birth of his daughter and wishes from his friends, there is no doubt that Usher is surrounded by plenty of love on his special day.
