Kim Kardashian Praises Kanye West for Giving Her the Ultimate Gift — See the Awesome Surprise

Kim Kardashian received a visit from "heaven" as she celebrated her milestone 40th birthday with close family and friends. A gift of a lifetime the beauty mogul just had to share with fans.

The beauty mogul and reality star Kim Kardashian celebrated her 40th birthday on October 21. To make the occasion special, Kim flew about 20 - 25 people to a private tropical island for a week of fun and bonding.

Celebrity planner Mindy Weiss helped with festivities for the Kardashian-Jenner clan, and the guests also included brother Rob, Corey Gamble, and Tristan Thompson.

KHLOE STANDS UP FOR HER SISTER

Social media posts of everyone having a good time during the tropical birthday getaway caused backlash from fans, branding the display as insensitive to those going through a difficult time amid the pandemic.

In response, sister Khloe Kardashian displayed empathy to the critics but appealed to their compassion and understanding when she stood up for Kim and her birthday celebrations.

"But this year is a frustrating year. I get it. I think there's so many frustrations going on for everybody. But also it's her 40th. This is something that she wanted to do for us. It was such a nice thing," Khloe reportedly said.

WHAT KANYE DID FOR KIM

While Kim wanted to make her birthday celebrations special, her husband Kanye, in turn, did his part to make it special for her as well. In fact, he gifted her the surprise of a "lifetime."

Like her other sisters, Kim worshipped her dad, Robert Kardashian. He died only two months after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer, aged 59 in 2003, and for Kim's birthday, Kanye brought him back from "heaven" in holographic form.

The hologram of Robert looked incredibly lifelike as he dedicated a message to Kim, praising her for the woman she'd become. While he expressed his pride for Kim and everything she accomplished, Robert also gave a shoutout to Kanye, whom he called the "most genius man in the whole world."

HOW KIM RESPONDED

Overcome by emotion, Kim shared a video of the video message of her late father. Having watched it repeatedly, the beauty mogul couldn't get enough of seeing her father and hearing his voice again.

Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad," Kim wrote. "It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion."

She posted another close-up video taken of the hologram and said that it meant the world to the entire Kardashian family that they could experience that together.

THE ONE WHO COULDN'T ATTEND

The only member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan who couldn't attend the week of celebration was Kylie Jenner. She had work obligations that required her attention, and she couldn't get away for the week.

The 23-year-old had been hard at work to get her new leopard collection launched. After being pushed back, the launch finally happened on October 26, and to give the new collection the ultimate Halloween look, she teamed up with James Charles to get the perfect matching makeup.
