How 'NCIS: LA' Star Nia Long Celebrated Her 50th Birthday with Loved Ones

Nia Long is living proof that age is nothing but a number. Despite the passing of five decades, the acclaimed actress’s radiant beauty seems to have not faded at all.

Long turned 50 on October 30 and she took to Instagram to share with her fans stunning pictures of her with her loved ones during her birthday.

A BIRTHDAY SURPRISE

In the first picture, Long was evidently in a celebratory mood, feeling her best self on her birthday. As the star of the day, the actress wore a crown on her head with party sunglasses shaped into the number 50.

Long looked like she did not expect any grand celebration but Jordan Barnes, whom she called her sister, perfectly pulled off a surprise birthday party in the garden. She wrote in the caption:

"When your little sister surprises you for your birthday. Been down with this ball of fire for 15 years. @jordiebnyc love you ?"

RINGING HIS MOM'S GOLDEN YEAR

In her second snap, Long also posted a short video of her son, Kez Sunday Udoka, blowing a trumpet in honor of her birthday. He shortly extended both of his hands and went back to his usual stance.

The 8-year-old boy, whom Long and longtime partner Ime Udoka welcomed in November 2011, was dressed in a tie-dye shirt which he paired with red shorts. He also sported a printed black bandana on his forehead.

Aside from Kez, the "Big Momma’s House" star is also mother to 19-year-old Massai Zhivago Dorsey II. Long shares her teenage son with her ex-partner, actor Massai Z. Dorsey.

NO PLANS FOR MARRIAGE

As many fans await Long and longtime partner Ime’s wedding, the actress said in a "Yes, Girl" podcast episode that she does not have plans of getting married any time soon.

Aside from believing that love is complicated, Long, who has been with the NBA star since 2010, shared that she has reservations about marriage as it is a new territory for her and that she is not prepared to enter it for now.

With her creative endeavors in filmmaking and acting, there is no doubt that Long’s career will continue to flourish in the years to come.
